The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is without a doubt one of the most capable brand-new pickup trucks available. With a 702-hp supercharged engine under its hood, it’s hard to find another model that directly compares to the TRX. As a result, StreetSpeed717 on YouTube decided to buy one of these powerful trucks to create online content.

Unfortunately, a misjudged jump resulted in extensive damage throughout the truck’s bodywork. After taking it through a river with 44-inch tires, the truck was ultimately set on fire.

How did this 2021 Ram 1500 TRX break in the first place?

In case you’re new to this broken 2021 Ram 1500 TRX story, we’ll start from the beginning. After taking delivery of his brand-new truck, StreetSpeed717 decided to take it off-roading with some friends. Part of what makes the TRX a special truck has to do with the upgraded suspension components. As a result, the 6,396-lb truck can even handle some moderate jumps without issue.

To test this, StreetSpeed717 decided to attempt a small jump over a river with his new truck. As a result, he lined up his 2021 Ram 1500 TRX and went for it. After mashing the accelerator, the supercharged truck quickly got up to speed. By the time it reached the end and caught air, it was traveling around 60 mph. As a result, the enormous truck soared through the air, as the image above shows.

Unfortunately, the truck struck the ground with tremendous force, causing severe damage throughout its bodywork. Aside from smashed windows, the TRX suffered from damaged suspension components.

From there it got 44-inch tires and jumped into a lake

In a bit of a hilarious twist, StreetSpeed717 decided to add 44-inch tires to his 2021 Ram 1500 TRX. From there, he took the truck back to the river he initially jumped, only to drive through it. As you’d expect, these enormous tires don’t simply bolt on to the truck. Instead of ripping the remaining bodywork, StreetSpeed717 decided to buy some wheel spacers. After fitting eight wheel spacers on each corner, the wheels went on without a hitch.

What is perhaps the most interesting aspect of this second modification is how well the truck still ran. Given the immense 702-hp output, the powertrain handled the extra weight of the tires without issue. However, since YouTube audiences typically aren’t easily satisfied, StreetSpeed717 kicked the fun-factor up a notch.

Did this fire finally break this brand-new truck?

The next chapter for this 2021 Ram 1500 TRX involved crushing some old parked cars. In StreetSpeed717’s newest video, he aligned an old Dodge Intrepid and a Volkswagen Passat. However, before simply running over the old cars, StreetSpeed717 cut off the TRX’s exhaust, allowing its supercharged engine to roar. From there, he lined it up to go over the parked cars, crushing their roofs and windows in the process.

Unfortunately, as the Ram 1500 TRX went over the cars repeatedly, its all-wheel-drive system began overheating. Eventually, the system appeared to quit altogether, leaving the truck with just rear-wheel-drive.

As the video comes to a close, we see StreetSpeed717 speaking with the truck in the background. From there, we see flames appear throughout the truck as its set on fire. Since the video ends rather abruptly, it is hard to tell if there is any severe damage. Given how mangled this truck is already, it can’t get much worse. However, if we had to guess, this broken truck content certainly wouldn’t end here.
