Better Late Than Never: 2023 Ford Maverick Orders Are Now Live
When Ford first released the Maverick, it was pretty much an instant success. It’s been years since an auto manufacturer has offered a legitimate small truck in the States, but now that has all changed. After some slight delays, orders for the 2023 Maverick are finally a go. And if you want one, you should probably plan to act quickly. Because who knows how long the Blue Oval will have this compact pickup in stock.
Can you order a 2023 Ford Maverick?
After some confusion on when orders would open up, it is now possible to order a 2023 Ford Maverick. Shortly after the 2022 Maverick went on sale, Ford was forced to place a pause on customer orders. And that is a reflection of just how popular this small truck is.
Currently, you can order a 2023 Maverick directly from Ford or contact your dealership in order to learn more. In terms of pricing, the Maverick has experienced a slight increase. The Maverick XL now has an MSRP of $22,195. Still, that doesn’t mean it is no longer a cheap pickup truck. A new pickup for around $20k? That’s a pretty good deal.
What’s new for the 2023 Maverick?
Although the Maverick was just introduced for 2022, there have been some changes for the 2023 model. The biggest change is probably the addition of the Tremor Off-Road package. This package adds things like a 1-inch lift as well as a new all-wheel drive system. But, if you want it, you will need to opt for the 2023 Maverick XLT or 2023 Maverick Lariat.
Additional changes include what the XLT Luxury Package and Lariat Luxury Package add. If you want things like adaptive cruise control and rear parking sensors, you now have to buy the Co-Pilot360 safety package. And that does add some cost to the bottom line of this small truck.
Should you buy Ford’s small truck?
If you missed the boat on the 2022 Ford Maverick, the 2023 version is certainly something worthy of consideration. With the addition of the Tremor Off-Road package, you will have a compact pickup that is ready to tackle some light off-road duty. Or, you can just get a small truck that is versatile enough to handle a variety of automotive roles.
Although there has been a slight price increase to the Maverick, according to AutoEvolution, it should be budget-friendly enough to work for most. It still comes standard with a hybrid powertrain, too, giving you the efficiency of a hybrid while retaining the utility of a pickup truck bed.
When can you buy the 2023 Ford Maverick?
Orders for the Maverick are now open. You can visit Ford’s website to fill out a form and get more info. According to Ford Authority, the production date of the 2023 Ford Maverick has been pushed back. So, it’s not clear exactly when buyers should expect to take delivery.
That said, this compact pickup should continue to see the kind of success that the 2022 model did.
