Rivian R1T

Many Americans were first introduced to the pickup truck in 1925 when Ford released the Model T Roundabout. Since that time, pickup trucks have become a staple in this country. Not only can trucks be fun to drive, but are also built to be more rugged and durable than most other vehicles. Pickups are perfect for both work and play.

Trucks have definitely come a long way since the early 20th century. The truck has evolved from just another vehicle to a useful tool that is needed for everyday life. Safety, comfort, and fuel efficiency are all important features that today’s consumers are looking for.

The truck manufacturers have definitely taken this into account when designing a new generation of trucks for the 2020 year. Starting next year, trucks will be more luxurious than anything that we have ever seen before.

Here is a look at some of the amazing trucks to watch out for in the next few years.

Ford F-150 Electric

Ford is taking one of its most popular trucks and turning it into an all-electric vehicle. It is unclear when this eco-friendly vehicle will be available to the public, but the camouflaged prototype has already been spotted a few times around town.

Recently, Ford announced that it would be investing $500 million and teaming up with Rivian in an effort to create a new line of EV vehicles. Ford has already announced that it will be creating an electric Mustang, but many people were pleasantly surprised to learn that the company will also be incorporating an all-electric motor to its popular pickup.

According to Jim Farley, the president of Ford’s global market, says that coming up with an EV F-150 was a logical choice because it helps to make the truck more appealing to a wider range of consumers. “F-series core strength at the end of the day is: There’s a truck for every customer and we know our customers really, really well,” Farley said at the North American International Auto Show.
