When it comes to the best used sports cars, the 2010 Ford Mustang is at the top of the U.S. News list. 2010 was the year of a refresh, which left the Ford Mustang with a lot of positives. Ford updated the gauges, added an infotainment system and a few engine choices. Plus, it was available in manual and automatic. The GT is a good trim level to look for if you have a little wiggle room in the budget

U.S. News picked the 2010 Nissan 370Z sports car

The 2010 Nissan 370Z is fairly similar to the 2020 model as far as design goes. With a 332 hp V6 and a convertible option, the 370Z is one of the best used sports cars within budget. The Nissan comes with a six-speed manual or automatic, with the manual capable of rev matching. It also comes with navigation and heated/ventilated front seats, which is hard to find in these years.

The 2016 Hyundai Genesis Coupe was the last year as a Hyundai

The 2016 Hyundai Genesis Coupe came out before Genesis became its own brand. It still stood for being a premium sports car from the brand, even though production ended after this year. However, that means you might be able to find a good deal on it. The Genesis Coupe gets 348 hp from the V6 and comes with a six-speed manual or eight speed automatic. The base trim is good enough, the the R-Spec has Brembo brakes, upgraded suspension, and a limited-slip differential.

Try to find a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro like Bumblebee

The Camaro returned to the market this year, making the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro a great sports car choice. It got a bit more of a retro but also modern style and a movie deal with “Transformers” movie. Bumblebee was all the rage. Chevy offered the Camaro with a 304 hp V6 and a 426 hp V8, which makes it a bit easier to find on the used cae market. However, it has pretty poor visibility for some drivers. Be sure the test drive it to see if it will work.

Since the 2015 Dodge Challenger is one of the newer options on the list, it is also at the higher end of the budget. Dodge looked at the iconic Challenger from 1971 when designing this one and it shows. It might not be the best handing sports car of the bunch, but it is fun to drive. Plus, it has a huge trunk and cabin. If you can find an R/T within budget, it comes with a 5.7L Hemi V8 with 375 hp. The regular V6 engine gets 305 hp. Some of the Challengers were offering with an infotainment system, which is an added benefit.

The 2010 Mazda MX-5 Miata sports car is only going up in price

The 2010 Mazda MX-5 Miata might be under $25,000 now, but these sports cars are going up in price. If you can find a clean one, jump on it. The Miata is one of the best sports cars out there right now within budget. U.S. News said it best: “It’s thrifty, efficient, reliable and delivers absolutely wonderful handling.” Try to find a manual option for added excitement. It doesn’t have the most modern features like some of the other options on this list, but that’s also what makes it great.
