The GMC Sierra is among the top ten vehicles sold so far
The upscale GMC Sierra pickup truck sold 118,938 models during the first half of the year. Car and Driver reports this figure puts the Sierra in the top ten for all vehicle sales in the United States. These figures include the half-ton and heavy-duty models of the Sierra.
Ram pickups take the bronze position for truck and vehicle sales
Even though the figures show a decline of 22% compared to last year, Ram pickup trucks enjoyed sales figures of 244,983 during the first six months of 2022. This number positions Ram in the third spot among all vehicles and includes all half-ton and heavy-duty models wearing the Ram badge.
The runner-up position for best-selling trucks goes to the Chevrolet Silverado
The half-ton Chevy Silverado 1500 received an update for the 2022 model year, but the heavy-duty models have not received the same upgrades. Still, this pickup family sold 259,516 models during the first six months of the year, putting this truck in the silver medal position among all vehicles.
Ford F-Series trucks continue to be the best-selling trucks in America
The Ford F-Series models almost always top pickup truck sales, which continues to be the case for 2022. During the first half of the year, Ford sold 299,345 F-Series trucks. This number represents a 17 percent decline, but that’s not enough for this truck to lose its crown.
