Which truck brand is the best?

This isn’t the first time that Kelley Blue Book has recognized Toyota as the ‘Best Overall Truck Brand.’ In fact, Kelley Blue Book has recognized Toyota as the ‘Best Overall Truck Brand’ for three years running. There’s no denying that’s a pretty impressive feat.

According to Kelley Blue Book, “Shoppers at KBB.com chose Toyota as the Best Overall Truck Brand because of the reliability, durability, and strong resale value of the midsize Tacoma and full-size Tundra. Buyers look for consistency, and year after year, Toyota delivers with its top-notch reputation.”

The Toyota Tacoma is a top-notch option among its segment

As Kelley Blue Book explained, Toyota’s reputation as one of the best truck brands can be attributed to a number of factors. According to Kelley Blue Book, those factors include things like reliability, durability and strong resale value. Fortunately, the Toyota Tacoma excels in all areas.

In fact, based on Kelley Blue Book’s consumer ratings, this year’s Tacoma has earned itself a 4.4 overall reliability rating. Consumer Reports’ data also shows that while they may have given this year’s Tacoma a rather average predicted reliability rating, plenty of model years have scored a four or five out of five reliability rating. Meaning, all in all, the Tacoma is a reasonably reliable pickup.

And when it comes to resale value? The Toyota Tacoma was recently recognized by Kelley Blue Book for having the best resale value among midsize pickups. Kelley Blue Book added, “It’s the Midsize Truck Best Resale Value Award winner for the 19th consecutive year and is one of the 10 Best overall Best Resale Values for the 10th year in a row.”

The Toyota Tundra offers impressive reliability says KBB

Now, the Toyota Tacoma isn’t the only pickup Kelley Blue Book’s ‘Best Overall Truck Brand’ has to offer. Among this year’s lineup, you’ll also find the Toyota Tundra. According to Kelley Blue Book, “The 2021 Toyota Tundra full-size pickup has a fine reputation for quality, reliability, and durability. Over the many years it has been on sale, the Tundra has indeed proved itself as a stayer.”

Kelley Blue Book isn’t wrong about the Tundra being a reliable truck either. While its data shows that consumers have awarded this year’s model with a 4.6 overall reliability rating, Consumer Reports gave this year’s Tundra a four out of five predicted reliability rating. Such a high score isn’t unusual for the Toyota Tundra either.

Much like the Toyota Tacoma, the Tundra is also well-known for holding its value. It was even recognized as having the highest resale value among all full-size pickups. Kelley Blue Book added, “Competition is tough in this segment, but in addition to reliability and high resale value, the Tundra offers a wide variety of trim levels. From the hard-working SR to the luxurious Platinum, there are Tundra models for a range of budgets.”

Toyota continues its reign as the ‘Best Overall Truck Brand’

With both the Toyota Tacoma and the Toyota Tundra featured among this year’s lineup, it’s no wonder that Kelley Blue Book recognized the automaker as the ‘Best Overall Truck Brand.’ So if you’re in the market for a new truck? You might want to head to your local Toyota dealership.
