The 2023 Chevrolet Traverse is one of the best midsize American SUVs

Edmunds found that the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse checked all the boxes for the best midsize American SUVs. The passenger room is generous in all three rows, and the infotainment system is easy to use. Edmunds estimates the Traverse LT only costs around $192 a month in fuel, far below the segment average of $260.

Some standard features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and onboard Wi-Fi. Forward collision warning with automatic braking, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic LED headlights are also standard. GM builds the Traverse at the Lansing Delta Township Assembly in Michigan.

You can’t have the best midsize American SUVs without the 2023 Lincoln Nautilus

Inside the 2023 Lincoln Nautilus, passengers will have plenty of space and legroom. The seats are comfortable and can be adjusted in a variety of ways. Lincoln’s infotainment system is easy to use and doesn’t require a learning curve to adjust the audio. This is the last year the Nautilus will be on the market, so it didn’t change much over last year. However, it is still one of the best midsize American SUVs in the luxury category.

The estimated fuel costs for 2023 are around $230 monthly, a bit higher than the average midsize SUV. Some standard features on the Nautilus include LED headlights with automatic high beams, keyless entry/ignition, and power-adjustable and heated front seats with driver’s memory settings. Lincoln’s Co-Pilot360 system includes automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision mitigation with pedestrian detection, and blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning. Lincoln builds the Nautilus in Canada for its final few months on the market.

After a refresh last year, the luxury midsize SUV that is the 2023 Buick Enclave has plenty of features. It also has generous cargo space(97.4 cubic feet!) and ample room for seven passengers. Edmunds says the Enclave has a monthly fuel cost of around $196, below the industry average.

Some of the standard features on the base Enclave Essence include a hands-free liftgate, proximity keyless entry/push-button start, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. Advanced driver aids include blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning, forward collision mitigation, and lane-keeping assistance. GM builds the 2023 Enclave at the same Lansing Delta Township plant in Detroit, Michigan, cementing its place on the list of the best midsize American SUVs.
