If you haven’t seen Ford’s lineup for 2023, there is something for everyone. However, these are the best Ford trucks and SUVs on the market. One sport utility vehicle, one electric SUV, and one pickup truck make up this Ford trifecta.

The Bronco Sport is one of the best Ford trucks and SUVs

When U.S. News ranked some of the best Ford trucks and SUVs for this year, the 2023 Ford Bronco Sport received one of the highest scores. The Bronco Sport is a competent off-road vehicle, and in the Badlands trim, it has 8.8 inches of ground clearance. It also comes with skid plates and additional traction control upgrades for whatever adventures the Bronco Sport might see.

The Ford Bronco Sport has been quite popular since it hit the market for various reasons. Inside, the boxy interior offers plenty of headroom and visibility. An eight-inch touchscreen is standard, along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2023 Ford Bronco Sport a five-star safety rating. The SUV performed well in frontal, side, and rollover crashworthiness tests.

Ford’s Mustang Mach-E is another one of the best Ford SUVs.

No matter where you look, the 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E is probably there. This fully-electric SUV has taken the market by storm for a few reasons. While all Mach-E EVs are fun to drive, the GT Performance trim brings in 480 hp and can go from zero to 60 mpg in 3.5 seconds. Even if you don’t end up in the GT trim, the Mach-E is still packed with technology and features.

Ford offers the Mach-E with a standard or extended-range battery. The standard-range batter is 70 kWh and gets 247 miles of range with rear-wheel drive and 244 miles with all-wheel drive. For the 91 kWh extended-range battery, the range goes from 393 miles with rear-wheel drive and 277 miles with all-wheel.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the 2022 Mustang Mach-E its Top Safety Pick award this year. It received high marks on all crashworthiness tests, but the Premium and GT trims have better headlights. These trims received a higher score than the Select and California Route 1 trims, but still count as one of the best Ford trucks and SUVs.

You can’t have the best Fords without the F-150.

A 2023 Ford F-150 | Ford

Coming in at the top of the list for best Ford trucks and SUVs is the 2023 F-150. One of the most popular vehicles on the market, the F-150 has plenty of space and features to keep everyone happy. Ford offers the F-150 with various powertrains and other options to suit most situations. It can also tow up to 14,000 pounds when properly equipped with the twin-turbocharged V6 engine and the Super Cab or SuperCrew bed.

For those who want the top-of-the-line option, the Raptor R gets 700 hp from the supercharged V8 engine. However, the F-150 starts at around $35,000 for the base XL model and still offers plenty. While the F-150 is one of the best Ford trucks and SUVs for 2023, it isn’t going anywhere. Ford has figured out the winning formula with the F-150 and has even seen success with the all-electric F-150 Lightning.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2023 Ford F-150 an overall safety rating of five out of five stars, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety made it a Top Safety Pick award winner.

Some other noteworthy best Ford trucks and SUVs include the Expedition, Explorer, and Ranger, although these didn’t score as high. Ford has an impressive lineup right now, and it is only getting stronger with the addition of electric and hybrid options.
