Are you in the market for an electric vehicle? Right now might be a good time to buy while there is still inventory. There are a few options for new electric vehicles like the Volkswagen ID.4 and 2021 Kia Niro. If you are looking at a used Tesla Model 3, you can snag one for just over $35,000.

The Volkswagen ID.4 has an MSRP of $39,995, however, it is still eligible for the federal tax credit. You can lower that to $32,495 with the credit. The estimated lease payment comes in at around $379 a month for a 36-month lease.

Edmunds tested the predicted ranges against the actual ranges a bit ago, and the results were interesting. The Volkswagen 2021 ID.4 First Edition had an EPA estimated 250 miles and got 287 miles during testing. Not bad, and within the price range if you act quickly!

The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt fits the electric vehicle bill

The new Chevrolet Bolt LT is priced at $33,995 to start. It comes with Chevy Safety Assist and DC fast charging. It also offers wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, and has Android Auto.

An added available feature is the Super Cruise hands-free driver-assistance feature that helps drive the car. It is a hands-free driving feature that uses LiDAR mapping to help get you there safely.

Chevy says the Bolt will get 250 miles of range and the Bolt will use real-time information to help you find a charger when you need one.

A used 2018 Tesla Model 3 might work with your budget

Depending on where you look, you can find a Tesla Model 3 for under $35,000. AutoTrader has a few Model 3’s for a good price. For instance, a 2018 Mid Range with 43,525 miles is priced at $33,480.

There is a 2019 Model 3 with 32,000 miles for $34,500. In addition, a Long-Range 2018 Model 3 with 37,095 miles is priced at $33,538. Similarly, if you are OK with going a little bit over $35,000, CarMax has some priced at $36,000.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a Tesla and don’t mind a few miles on it, set an alert for your preferences online so you get notified when one pops up.

However, be aware that the Model 3 might incur some extra costs down the line due to being used. It is good to do some research before purchasing to be sure the car is in the shape you want it in.

The 2021 Kia Niro has two options

The Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid has a starting price of $29,590. This gets up to 26 miles of All-Electric Range, and 46 miles per gallon combined. That’s about 105 miles per gallon electric combined.

The 2020 Niro EV is priced a little higher. It comes in at $39,090. However, it is still eligible for federal and state rebates in some areas. That could bring it down to just around $30,000 depending on where you live.

It has a 239-mile range and gets an 80% charge in about an hour and 15 minutes. It is compatible with 50 kW DC fast chargers. Depending on your budget, the Niro might fit. Above all, the Niro seems like a reliable choice.
