3 of the Best Electric Luxury SUVs According to Edmunds

Luxury cars have become more and more popular and attainable, so it only makes sense that luxury electric SUVs would be, too. With only a handful of options on the market, buyers only have a small selection to chose from, but that doesn’t always make picking a car out any easier. In fact, the variety of luxury electric SUVs on the market might be small, but that doesn’t mean they don’t pose some stiff competition.

Ford Mustang Mach-E

The Ford Mustang Mach-E has come with some controversy over the name, but it’s a stylish and sporty electric luxury SUV that we weren’t quite expecting from Ford. It received the #1 spot on the Edmunds list for electric luxury SUVs, and although it “isn’t the fastest or most affordable option,” according to the site, but it balances out well with an incredibly soft and modern interior that sets new standards for what we can expect from the brand as it sets sights toward a more electric future.

Audi e-tron

The Audi e-tron is a crowd favorite as it enters the market of electric luxury SUVs. It receives high marks for its interior quality, from the comfortable and spacious seats to the choice of materials and style. It’s a newer option that promises the beginning of a long and impressive lineup of electric cars from the brand, making us not only excited for the e-tron but also for the future of Audi electric cars.

Tesla Model Y Performance

The Tesla Model Y has been a fan favorite among electric car enthusiasts, partially because of the Tesla brand itself. Along with all of the great Easter Eggs hidden throughout the car for owners to find, enjoy, and show off, the Model Y Performance also offers sleek and modern luxury with a surprising amount of performance.

Overall, there aren’t a ton of options for electric luxury SUVs on the market, but that doesn’t mean that we should lower our expectations. Instead, it means that the few options we have need to be good in order to attract buyers to a relatively new section of the automotive market, and with these three options highly rated by Edmunds, buying an electric luxury SUV seems more appealing than ever.
