While it comes with front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive is available. Fuel economy sits between 29/30 mpg in the city and 36/37 mpg on the highway for FWD. All-wheel drive gets 28 mpg in the city and 34/35 mpg with AWD.

The 2023 Nissan Rogue has room for five and gets 41.5 inches of legroom in the front and 38.5 inches of rear legroom. That beats some of its most popular compact SUV competition. Cargo space is 31.6-36.5 cubic feet with the seats up and 74.1 cubic feet with the seats folded.

Fuel economy is expected to sit between 27/28 mpg in the city and 32/34 mpg on the highway.

The 2023 Honda CR-V gets 41.3 inches of front legroom and 41.0 inches of legroom in the rear. Cargo space is 36.3-39.3 cubic feet with the seats up and 76.5 cubic feet with the seats folded. Honda added an adjustable load floor for more versatile space.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety made the 2023 CR-V a Top Safety Pick Plus winner. While the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has not yet rated this year’s SUV, the CR-V’s safety systems all met performance criteria. A full rating will likely come later in the year.
