The best luxury SUVs aren’t necessarily the most expensive. If you’re in the market for a luxury ride but don’t want to spend a ton of money, you might be interested in some of the cheapest luxury SUVs on the market. Obviously, you don’t want something that’s unreliable or faulty, but with these SUVs you don’t have to worry about that. They’ve all been vetted by Consumer Reports, and are the best – and least expensive – luxury SUVs you can buy.

The 2022 Mini Cooper Countryman is the best entry-level luxury SUV

The 2022 Mini Cooper Countryman is the best luxury SUV, according to Consumer Reports. Its price starts at $29,100. The Countryman has a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine that makes 189 hp. Although Consumer Reports isn’t super impressed with the Mini Countryman’s handling, it likes its infotainment system and optional power driver seat.

The Countryman can hold up to five passengers, though the back seat is a little cramped. While automatic emergency braking and forward-collision warning are standard in the 2022 Mini Cooper Countryman, blind-spot warning doesn’t come in the Countryman.

The 2022 Lexus UX is one of the cheapest luxury SUVs you can buy

The 2022 Lexus UX is one of Consumer Reports’ highest-rated and least expensive luxury SUVs. You can get the UX as either a hybrid, which is the UX 250h, or the UX200. The UX200 is cheaper, but it’s also only front-wheel drive. The UX250h comes with all-wheel drive. As an added bonus, the UX250h gets 37 mpg, which is way more than most SUVs in its class.

The 2022 Lexus UX comes with the Lexus Safety System+ 2.0. This is the name for Lexus’ safety system. It includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning, and pedestrian detection.

As far as crash test ratings, the IIHS gives the 2022 Lexus UX a Top Safety Pick award. The 2022 Lexus UX price starts at $33,150.

The 2022 Buick Encore is low on cost but high on luxury

The 2022 Buick Encore is a small, entry-level luxury SUV, but Consumer Reports says that the Encore gives up quite a bit to be designated as such. For one thing, its fuel economy isn’t great; it only gets 23 mpg, consisting of 16 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.

Another downside is its visibility. Consumer Reports says that it’s difficult to see past the thick pillars and small rear windows. Plus, you have to add forward collision warning, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning with a package. The 2022 Buick Encore price starts at $24,600.

All three of these inexpensive SUVs have something to offer. With their varying styles and abundance of high-end features, you’re sure to find something that will fit your needs. The 2022 Mini Cooper Countryman, 2022 Lexus UX, and 2022 Buick Encore are excellent SUVs. And with all three of them being recommended by Consumer Reports, any of the least expensive luxury SUVs on this list are a great deal.
