Is the 2021 Nissan Rogue worth buying?

Yes, the 2021 Nissan Rogue is an excellent SUV to buy. It just got one fine looking redesign to boast a more confident and refined ride. However, according to Cars.com, the new Rogue may not have enough improvements to be worth it.

The 2021 Nissan Rogue begins around $27,000. This price includes the destination fee. Also, the MSRP is $25,650. The 2020 Honda CR-V starts around $25,150, and the 2021 Toyota RAV4 starts around $26,050. So, try to get the Rogue with a deal for under $27,000 for the base model, if you can.

2021 Nissan Rogue problems

What makes the Nissan Rogue seem overpriced is primarily its ride quality. Despite adding much-needed driving refinement, it comes at the cost of comfort. While the Rogue used to have a smooth, soft ride, now the suspension is stiff and rigid.

The steering and handling were improved a little because the front end isn’t as heavy anymore, but that doesn’t make up for the harsh ride over potholes and other bumps on the road. Perhaps a smaller tire size, like the 17-inch wheels, provide a smoother ride. However, the 18-inch and 19-inch tires look better.

The team at Cars.com also shared that the Nissan Rogue’s body control is fine, which isn’t a confident word. Plus, the cabin isolation is average, so it’s not super loud or noticeably quiet in the cabin.

You’ll find a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine under the hood that makes 181 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque. Cars.com explained that this isn’t the best amount of power. With your Rogue full of passengers, it may have trouble quickly getting up to highway speeds. The Sport mode also feels awkward and isn’t as effective as other Sport modes.

How is the Nissan Rogue interior?

Cars.com explains that the front of the 2021 Nissan Rogue has a luxurious feel. The floating touchscreen, high center console, electronic gear shifter, and soft-touch surfaces look and feel great. Also, the electronic gear shifter feels rickety to operate, but the rest of the controls are fine.

But the cost-cutting corners become clear in the backseat. Space is a little limited, and your knees may hit the center console. Tall people may feel cramped in the back with an elevated knee height.

The Rogue used to have a deep glove box, but that’s gone. Multiple storage cubbies are available in its place. The center console now has a medium tray underneath it. There are 17/1 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seat, which is less than rivals.

You can connect the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment center to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Plus, two extra USB ports are in the rear. Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, and lane -departure warning.
