What we don’t like about the Grand Wagoneer

Awards are often glowing statements about the positives of a vehicle, but there has to be something that would make you avoid driving this big Jeep. We can think of two items that might make you look for a different vehicle: the price and the fuel mileage.

The Grand Wagoneer starts at $89,995 and increases from there. That might put this SUV out of your price range, especially if you weren’t expecting luxury prices from a Jeep.

The fuel mileage is one of the lowest in the full-size SUV class. When you’re not towing a trailer, you’ll have 13 city/18 hwy mpg. Attach a trailer, and your fuel mileage drops significantly. The low fuel economy is caused partly because of the full-time 4WD system of this big SUV.

If you see the price and fuel mileage and still want to buy the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, there’s a lot to admire about this big luxury SUV. This SUV offers:

If you want to drive the most luxurious Jeep SUV ever made, you’ll need to take the Grand Wagoneer for a drive.

This Jeep is playing a different game

Typically, we think of the Jeep SUVs as capable, off-road, rugged, and tough vehicles from the mainstream class. The Grand Wagoneer reaches into the luxury market and leaves the rest of the Jeep lineup behind. You can’t compare this big SUV with anything from Chevrolet, Ford, or Toyota, because it’s that much better than those brands offer.
