Auto mechanics and experts have much to offer the car industry. Naturally, they are trusted when it comes to fixing vehicles. However, these professionals also have a solid understanding of what cars to steer clear of. Recently, a fairly well-known car expert took to social media to highlight five sedans he would never buy. Surprisingly, there aren’t many Stellantis cars on the list.
Auto mechanics know which cars to buy
Auto mechanics have always advised on what cars to buy. According to Daily Dot, Bev (@bevurly) recently took to his TikTok account to do just that, but this time, he focused on sedans. This is important because though sedans aren’t as popular as they once were, they are still the top choice for many buyers.
Kia Optima
Bev begins his video by saying, “I wouldn’t recommend these sedans to my worst enemy.” The first sedan on his list is the Kia Optima. He calls the sedan “absolute trash” and mentions how often Kia vehicles get stolen. He also agrees with a ton of other auto mechanics when he says the engines are bad in these vehicles. Notably, Kia discontinued the sedan in 2021.
Chevy Cruze
Many auto mechanics also agree with Bev’s take on the Chevy Cruze. He starts his commentary by calling these cars money pits and specifically points out the timing chains. Chevrolet discontinued the Cruze in 2019. Naturally, the TikToker would advise against buying a used Chevy Cruze unless you want to sink a ton of money into it.
Auto mechanics hate the Mitsubishi Mirage G4
Next on the list of five sedans to never buy is the ultra-dangerous Mitsubishi Mirage G4. Specifically, he says it “G Sucks.” Specifically, he says it’s not a good investment because of its lack of power, lack of reliability, and cheaply made interior. Additionally, these cars are not safe.
Alfa Romeo Giulia
Next up is one of the many underperforming Stellantis cars on the market – – the Alfa Romeo Giulia. He begins by admitting that they have a solid exterior look. However, Bev calls them “terrible.” Specifically, he says the engines are problematic. Alfa Romeo still makes the Giulia.
Chrysler 200
The last of the sedans not to buy is the Chrysler 200. He essentially calls the car the less valuable younger sibling to the iconic Chrysler 300. In a nutshell, he finds the car unreliable. The automaker stopped producing the 200 in 2016.
