Yeah, Baby! Austin Powers’ ‘Shaguar’ is heading to the auction block
A 1967 Jaguar E-Type Series I Roadster like the one used in all three Austin Powers movies is worth a little more than $80,000 in America. Since there was only one Jag painted up to be Powers’ Shaguar, though, we wouldn’t be surprised if it was worth close to “one million dollars!“
If you haven’t seen the Austin Powers movies featuring Mike Meyes, you need to watch them ASAP. They’re hilarious and they’re likely to make you randy. In case you’re normal and have seen the movies, the Jaguar E-Type Powers drove in all three movies will hit the Mecum auction block in January, so this is your chance to own it.
The Shaguar was painted from the factory in Opalescent Silver Blue with a blue convertible top and blue interior, but it wouldn’t be Powers’ Shaguar without the Union Jack flag paint job.
The Shaguar is a Material Girl
According to the listing, the Shaguar was also featured in Madonna’s music video, “Beautiful Stranger.” Myers was also in the video.
When the movies were done being filmed, Jaguar Land Rover fully restored the car. The 4.2-liter inline-six and four-speed manual transmission were never tampered with, leaving the Jag in perfect condition. It even has the original wire wheels.
When it wasn’t being used in corporate events by Jaguar Land Rover, a private collector kept it safe and meticulously maintained it.
The Shaguar’s listing is live and will hit the block in Kissimmee, Florida January 7-19.
Another movie car will be auctioned off, too.

If you’re a fan of racing movies, the classic Steve McQueen movie “Le Mans” has an iconic movie car, too. The 1969 Porsche 917K he piloted will be auctioned away on January 18. McQueen owned the car for a year and went through four other owners before Jerry Seinfeld bought it in 2001.
It was purchased from the factory for the movie, so all the miles on the odometer are from being on set. The original mounts for rear-facing cameras are still on the car. One of the doors has McQueen’s signature on it, too.
In 2017, the Porsche collected an eye-watering final auction price of $14,080,000 at Pebble Beach. So, we won’t be shocked if it sells again for close to or over that amount.
