The up-and-down rollercoaster of the Donald Trump-Elon Musk feud is a fast-moving one. Like record-breaking, nausea-inducing rollercoaster speed. Yesterday, we reported that Trump said he was “thinking about” selling his recently acquired Tesla Model S. Today, however, the president is telling a different story. He says he’s keeping the luxury EV and he might “move the Tesla around a little bit.”

Last week, US President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk had a public disagreement that covered some serious ground in a matter of hours. On Thursday, Musk criticized Trump’s latest spending bill. By midday Friday, the president said he was “thinking about” selling the red Tesla Model S he had purchased on the White House lawn a couple of months ago. Quite the spat.

But that desire to sell seems to have fizzled out like so many celebrity feuds. According to Newsweek, Trump recently posted his vague plans for the electric sedan. “I may move the Tesla around a little bit.” Now, the most recent photos of the president’s Tesla Model S confirm that it hasn’t done much driving anyway. It’s parked within a fence line at the White House.

That makes sense, though. All presidents and vice presidents, both current and former, have protective details through the US Secret Service. That detail includes a driver in addition to armed guards. As a result, you won’t likely see Joe Biden on the road in his classic Corvette or Donald Trump in his Tesla Model S after he leaves the White House in early 2029.

When asked what he meant by his desire to “move the Tesla around,” the president didn’t say much to clarify. “I have a lot of locations. I got so many locations that I don’t know what to do with them all.” With a line like that, it sounds like we might be a “Notorious POTUS” album at some point. In all seriousness, it sounds like the president has plans to tuck the Tesla away at one of his properties. Not that it’s moved around much
