Adidas Designed a Gorgeous Lexus RX 500h F Sport to Celebrate Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

The latest Marvel movie just killed it at the box office. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a huge hit, as expected. To help celebrate the release of the latest blockbuster, Lexus partnered with Adidas to create a movie-inspired version of the Lexus RX 500h F Sport Luxury SUV.

When it came to designing the brand-new Lexus RX 500h F Sport into a special vehicle for the new Marvel movie, this was the question asked. The team tasked with answering this question is the Adidas S.E.E.D. school.

What is the Adidas S.E.E.D. school?

Adidas created the School for Experiential Education in Design (S.E.E.D.) in 2020 as a program to help identify and promote design talent. The focus of this program is groups that typically don’t receive the opportunities that other groups enjoy. The inaugural class of S.E.E.D. was entirely made of female creators. This team got to work to answer the question to create the special Lexus.

What does the Wakanda Forever Lexus RX 500h F Sport include?

The answer to the topic question became a 2023 Lexus RX 500h F Sport with specialized design elements. The exterior features diamond patterns and gold accents across the body. This dramatic look blends well with the large grill of this sporty luxury SUV.

In addition to the styling upgrades, the build also improved the hybrid tech to add a sportier feel to this Lexus SUV. This change allows this impressive SUV to stay in line with the idea of supporting a national athletic team, even if it’s for a nonexistent country.

The styling changes weren’t only added to the exterior but also fill the cabin with the same unique diamond pattern to offer a wild look on the seats, steering wheel, and door panels. Gold accents are also present to replace the trim pieces on the center console and door trim.

Is there anything to associate this luxury SUV with Wakanda?

The Adidas S.E.E.D. design team added “Wakanda Forever” in a fictional alphabet. The language of Wakanda shows up on the door sill plate and steering wheel. This same language was used to create a shirt that’s being sent to a small group of influencers. These shirts offer the phrase “Educate a Woman, Educate a Nation” in the Wakanda text.

Can you buy this specialized Lexus RX?

Unfortunately, neither this luxury SUV nor the shirt is for sale. This new specialized vehicle will make the rounds at various movie-related events. It could show up at future Marvel movie events alongside other specialized vehicles made for different releases.

Eventually, the Wakanda Forever Lexus RX 500h F Sport will be placed in a company display. It’s unclear if that company will be Lexus, Adidas, or Marvel.
