There are some pretty interesting new cars on the market today, but none of them are as crazy as these eight examples. Whether you have seen them in movies, on the street, or just on the web, these cars are some of the most eccentric vehicles ever built. Check them out below.

1. The McLaren 650S Spider is one of the craziest convertibles ever

Do you like convertibles? If so, then you’re sure to like the McLaren 650S Spider. According to Family Handyman, the 650S Spider’s roof can be raised and lowered in just 17 seconds. But that’s not as fast as its three-second 0-100 mph time or its top speed of 204 mph.

2. The Tumbler is the craziest Batmobile of all time

Have you seen the Tumbler from the Dark Knight Batman series? Well, you can technically be the caped crusader as there is a street-legal replica available for a cool $1 million. That street-ready Tumbler comes with an LS1 V8 engine, a custom frame, and massive 44-inch tires, according to Top Gear. After purchasing this crazy car, you’ll just need to source a good Batman costume. Just make sure it’s a good replica and not one of those cheesy grocery-store ones.

3. The Thrust SSC can travel at supersonic speed

The Thrust SSC may not look like a car, but it technically is. In fact, this twin turbofan jet-powered car holds the FIA world land speed record for going 763 mph in October of 1997. The Thrust SSC was the first car to ever travel at supersonic speed and break the sound barrier. Now that’s one crazy car!

4. This Matchbox-themed police vehicle is a Ford

We loved playing with and collecting Matchbox cars when we were young, but this 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty shows that you’re never too old for toys. Of course, this massive truck isn’t exactly a toy, it’s a life-size Matchbox Police-themed truck that has the power to move your house if needed. It can probably tow any of your other weekend toys at the same time, too.

5. The Polaris Slingshot Grand Touring LE is a crazy three-wheeled toy

Speaking of weekend toys, the Polaris Slingshot Grand Touring LE is one crazy vehicle. This three-wheeled car/motorcycle is sure to turn heads anywhere you drive it, thanks to its aggressive looks and unique configuration. 6. We can’t forget about the DeLorean time machine

If you have ever seen any of the Back to the Future movies, then you sure are familiar with the time machine built by Doc Brown. It’s based on a DeLorean DMC-12, which wasn’t easy to build in real life. The DeLorean automaker only built around 9,000 units before going bankrupt. And now, only 6,500 are left in the world.

7. The 1960 Volkswagen Beetle Bubbletop was ahead of its time

This 1960 Volkswagen Beetle Bubbletop was never mass-produced. Instead, it was a one-off car that was displayed at the Detroit Autorama back in the day. We’re not sure of all of its specs, but that bubble windshield looks like something out of The Jetsons.

8. The Koenigsegg Agera RS is crazy fast and crazy expensive

If you have a cool $2.1 million to spend, then might we suggest the Koenigsegg Agera RS. This supercar houses a twin-turbo V8 that produces 1,176 hp and 940 lb-ft of torque. All of that power translates into a top 277.9 mph making it the fastest road car ever built. That’s some crazy speed, indeed.

The craziest cars ever built

Whether you’re into massive Matchbox trucks or magnificent movie cars, this list has something crazy for you. It’s no wonder that the vehicles on this list are mainly one-off cars because you definitely won’t find anything like this at your local dealership.
