If you thought being a crazy Florida man was for the young, think again. A 74-year-old resident recently went on a rampage. He chased paramedics with a shotgun, punched firefighters, and tried stealing a fire truck

74-year-old Florida man uses a shotgun to steal a fire truck

I would like to know how kids feel about their wild Florida Grandpa. Are they proud of him for swinging on firefighters and pulling out a shotgun before jumping in a fire truck?

Police officers shared that a 74-year-old Ridge Manor man needed assistance as they were dispatched to a medical call around 10:30 AM near Leisure Street,

Paramedics arrived to administer aid to a 74-year-old who fell but couldn’t get up due to being extremely intoxicated. As they started to help, the man became combative.

According to Pasco News Online, he popped up and grabbed a shotgun. Then he chased the paramedics out of his home.

The man ran out the front door of his home and hit firefighters as he ran to a firetruck and climbed inside. A first responder was still in the passenger seat as the old man tried to drive away.

Police officers pulled up as the truck was pulling out and intervened. Deputies climbed on the moving fire truck and pulled the man out.

But Grandpa wasn’t ready to give up and punched an officer in the face before being placed in custody. The man was taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation.

His current condition is unknown, but once he’s cleared he will be charged with multiple accounts of aggravated assault on first responders, battery on law enforcement, and armed burglary of a vehicle.
