During our time with the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, people asked if we were soccer moms, or had tons of kids to haul around. But this van deserves more respect. Vans aren’t just for moms, but this is the most athletic option. Also, there are multiple reasons why rock bands use vans instead of SUVs. So buckle up, and see why the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is cooler than you think.

Is the 2022 Chrylser Pacifica Hybrid worth buying?

2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid review

Yes, the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is worth buying if you want a practical and convenient option with tons of cargo and passenger space. This van is athletic, agile, and comfortable with advanced tech and storage solutions.

We spent a week with the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Limited with the S Appearance package. It adds piano black interior accents, anodized Black Ink badging, a Gloss Black Grille, 18-inch Foreshadow aluminum wheels, a rear facia with black accents, body-color door handles, body-colored mirrors, and Nappa leather bucket seats.

So, this van looks a little cooler than the average option. But that’s not why it’s epic. It provides a premium performance.

1. The 2022 Pacifica Hybrid has an excellent fuel economy

The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is technically a PHEV or plug-in hybrid vehicle. It provides a range of 30 miles on a single charge and comes with an adaptor. You can charge it with a regular household outlet overnight.

It gets an EPA-estimated 86 MPGe and can travel for about 520 miles on a single tank of gas. We averaged 32 miles combined with gas-only. Also, coasting and regenerative brakes provide tons of energy.

While hanging out on the Blue Ridge Parkway for about 30 minutes, we got a six percent charge. Errands all over time provide plenty of juice.

2. Don’t call the 2022 Pacifica Hybrid slow

The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine, two electric motors, and a lithium-ion battery pack combine to generate 260 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 7.3 seconds.

It’s faster than the Toyota Sienna Hybrid and has no trouble getting up to speed. It’s easy to pass others and merge into crowded areas of traffic. We wish this sporty van had paddle shifters to complete its athletic performance.

3. The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is comfortable

You’ll find that the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid has an extremely smooth ride. Sections of beat-up pavement and bumps are absorbed with ease. Plus, the interior is peacefully quiet as wind and road noise are kept at bay.

Each row provides spacious seats with plenty of padding for long drives. You can easily stretch out and recline for a nap as a passenger. Also, the ventilated seats are strong and effective. The climate control system is smart and adaptive too. However, the AC can get a little loud.

4. The Chrysler Pacifica is easy to maneuver

The 2022 Chrylser Pacifica is easy to whip around. It can fit into tiny parking spots and navigate through tight areas without any fuss. The 360-degree camera system, parking sensors, and Parking Assist system help you avoid obstacles without guessing.

It has a 19.25-foot turning radius and makes agile maneuvers that a minivan shouldn’t be able to do. It’s ideal for quick errands, road trips, and navigating busy roads. Plus, the doors can be controlled from the dash and the key fob, providing passengers with efficient access

5. You can keep the Pacifica clean

It’s muddy, and tons of leaves are falling in Asheville, NC, so our vehicles are getting dirty. But the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica is easy to clean. It has plastic cladding around the doors that protect the carpet. You can easily wipe mud up.

While the carpet is soft and plush, it’s easy to vacuum quickly. Cribs and debris don’t get stuck in the fabric. The leather seats are durable and resistant to splashes. Also, there is an umbrella holder by the driver’s seat to keep things dry.

6. The Pacifica is spacious

The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica offers up to 32.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats with up to 140.5 cubes total. This provides more cargo room than the Ford Expedition Max. Plus, there is an in-floor trunk space in the rear.

You can fold the third-row seats completely flat. They quickly disappear into the level cargo floor. All you have to do is pull a few straps to move them. The second-row seats slide pretty far forward too. Plus, the front passenger seat slides up toward the dash for extra space.

7. The interior is luxurious

The 2022 Chrylser Pacifica Hybrid has a well-crafted interior with luxurious materials such as leather-wrapped surfaces. Silver accents pop against the black upholstery, and the plush carpet is extremely soft.

We like the dark blue lighting in the digital gauge cluster, plus cameras provide a family view. You can have a live feed of your passengers at all times. A pop-out mirror will display your passengers too.

You can see how efficient your driving is with daily stats, there’s a wireless phone charging pad, and the rear-entertainment system provides two TVs and Amazone FireTV. Also, USB ports and household outlets are everywhere to keep the whole crew’s devices charged.

Best of all, the dual-pane panoramic sunroof allows plenty of natural light and fresh air to enter the cabin.

There are a few cons to go over. For example, the van does have a little body lean around curves, and the tech looks a little dated. Stay tuned for our full review for the good and the bad. However, the Pacifica Hybrid is comfortable, upscale, and efficient for all types of drivers, not just moms!
