Mercedes-Benz is one of the most well-known luxury automakers in the world. As a result, the German automaker has an extensive lineup, and it can be challenging for car shoppers to sort through them all. Here’s a look at the six top-ranked Mercedes-Benz models right now.

1. Mercedes-Benz E-Class wagon

According to MotorTrend, one of the top-ranked Mercedes-Benz cars is the E-Class. In fact, two versions of the luxury car made the list. The wagon version starts at about $66,000 and receives a score of 8.9 out of 10. This made it the second-best luxury wagon on the market.

The E-Class wagon starts with a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder with 362 hp. However, the main benefit of the wagon body style is that it gets 35 cu-ft of cargo space.

2. Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan

The sedan version of the E-Class was also among the top-ranked Mercedes-Benz vehicles and received a score of 8.4 out of 10. That makes it the third-best midsize luxury sedan. It’s the cheapest vE-Class version, starting at about $55,000.

Its standard engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that gets 255 hp. Just like with the wagon version, the sedan has a variety of engine options, including a 603-hp V8. Plus, both versions of the car are stylish and luxurious to be in.

3. Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class

This German luxury car competes in the subcompact luxury car segment, and it received a score of 7.4 out of 10, which made it third-best in its segment. It’s relatively affordable as it starts at about $38,000. It is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 221 hp.

Like most other Mercedes, the CLA-Class can be equipped with more powerful engines, including a 382-hp one. Mercedes-Benz also gave it an “upscale interior,” though it’s noisy on the inside.

4. Mercedes-Benz S-Class

While the CLA-Class is a relatively affordable Mercedes-Benz, the S-Class is the complete opposite, starting at over $110,000. This model received a score of 8.7 out of 10, which made it the second-best option in its segment.

Unsurprisingly, the S-Class is powerful, starting with a 429-hp six-cylinder engine. There’s a long list of powertrain options, including a PHEV and a 603-hp one. However, its interior is where it shines as luxurious and high-tech. For example, it has a 12.8-inch touchscreen and an augmented reality navigation system.

5. Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Coupe

This $78,500 luxury car is unique as it has a fastback body type. It has an overall score of 8.1 out of 10, which made it the third-best option in its segment. Like with the S-Class, the GLE-Class Coupe starts with a 429-hp six-cylinder engine with a 603-hp engine option. The main benefit of this luxury car is cargo capacity. It maxes out at over 60 cu-ft.

6. Mercedes-Benz EQS-Class

The EQS-Class is a glimpse of the electric future as it’s one of Mercedes-Benz’s first EVs. It starts at over $100,000 and received a score of 8.1 out of 10. This made it the third-best luxury EV on the market. This model has a range of 350 miles and a standard configuration of 329 hp. Owners can boost that output up to 751 hp when the EQS is properly equipped.

Other than being fully electric, the EQS is extremely high-tech. It features a 12.8-inch touchscreen, an augmented reality navigation system, and two powerful head-up display options.
