The current version of the Lexus ES isn’t the same Camry-based car that your parents drove. Instead of a luxury version of the most popular midsize sedan, the 2023 Lexus ES continues the current generation by being an engaging luxury car. This car delivers everything you want in a top-level car that’s better than ever before. The latest Lexus ES is more than just a car that is still worth driving; it can be truly engaging. Here’s why.

Every version of the 2023 Lexus ES is eligible for the F Sport Design package

Lexus wants to see all ES drivers have more fun when behind the wheel of this luxury car. While adding the F Sport Design package doesn’t upgrade the performance of this car, it certainly improves the appearance.

Jalopnik tells us the basis for the F Sport Design package is the Premium Package. From there, the ES receives:

  • 19-inch wheels with a gloss-black finish
  • A unique front bumper and grille surround
  • A new rear spoiler

The F Sport Handling package can take things even further. This package is only offered for the ES 350 and ES 300h models. With this package, you’ll have the finishes of the F Sport Design package while adding a sporty feeling on the road. This sportiness comes from:

  • A Sport+ mode
  • An Adaptive variable suspension
  • Aluminum pedals
  • F Sport heated steering wheel with Hadori aluminum trim

And, if this isn’t enough to get you excited about the 2023 Lexus ES, check out these six items.

1. What does the Premium package include for this luxury SUV?

The optional Premium package is required for the F-Sport upgrades if that’s the way you want to go. Of course, you can have the Premium package in the Lexus ES without the F-Sport goodies. This package adds $2,430 to the price, and it includes:

  • Heated/power-adjustable steering wheel
  • Driver’s-seat memory settings
  • Heated/ventilated front seats
  • Wireless charging
  • Rear parking sensors

All trims of the 2023 Lexus ES are eligible to receive the Premium package.

2. Upgrade to a larger infotainment screen in the Lexus ES

When you move up to higher trims, you’ll find the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display. The base model still has an 8-inch screen. Both infotainment screens work well and give you the speedy responses desired.

Of course, to make these screens more enjoyable, Lexus includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for all versions of this luxury car. It’s those little things that matter the most.

3. Will you enjoy the sounds of the Mark Levinson surround-sound system?

While we’re on the subject of infotainment and technology, the Luxury and Ultra Luxury models of the 2023 Lexus ES include a Mark Levinson surround-sound audio system. This system brings 1,800 watts of power through 17 speakers. Just imagine the glorious sounds you’ll hear while driving this luxury car.

4. Save fuel with the 2023 Lexus ES 300h

The ES 300h includes an impressive hybrid powertrain that achieves up to 44 mpg on the highway. This powertrain employs a 2.5-liter engine and two electric motors to offer 215 horsepower. This is more than enough power for this luxury car and allows you to save fuel and skip the gas station until next week.

5. The adaptive cruise control in the ES is an advanced system

Instead of simply tracking the car in front and maintaining a safe distance, the adaptive cruise control system in the 2023 Lexus ES does more. This system works at all speeds and uses the enhanced lane-tracing feature to correct steering and help you stay in your chosen lane.

6. The 2023 Lexus ES maintains its value over time

Many luxury cars lose the most value during the first couple of years of ownership. That’s not the case for the Lexus brand. Lexus has a reputation for high resale value, and the ES should retain most of its original value to be a great investment.
