For most people, the first thing that they do after they start their car is turn on the radio. Even people who don’t listen to music that much during their day-to-day routines enjoy listening to music while they drive.

For some people, the radio helps to keep them calm while driving during stressful situations; others use the radio as a form of entertainment. No matter why people choose to listen to music while driving, it is safe to say that the radio has become an important part of any vehicle.

This is why every year, many people spend hundreds if not thousands, of dollars in order to give their vehicle the best sound system on the market.

Although aftermarket sound systems can be very impressive and elaborate, you may be surprised to know that there are several cars on the market today that come equipped with high-end sound systems that are able to produce better sound quality than most other aftermarket systems.

Here is a look at six vehicles with surprisingly great factory sound systems.

Lexus features a Mark Levinson sound system

Mark Levinson sound systems are known for delivering a crisp, clear sound that every occupant in the car will enjoy. Lexus has been teaming up with the Mark Levinson brand since 2001 in order to allow its drivers to experience some of the best sound quality that can be found on the market today. For almost two decades now, a Mark Levinson sound system has been featured in various Lexus vehicles.

This year, the luxury car manufacturing giant has equipped the 2019 GSF with a 17-speaker Mark Levinson surround-sound system. It features advanced technology that is capable of taking compressed audio files and restoring the files to deliver an impressive sound.

The senior manager of the Mark Levinson audio systems, Trevor Neumann, has said when designing a sound system for a car, they design the system with the goal of “emotionally attaching somebody to the music that they’ve grown to love.”

Experience a Krell sound system with Acura

Krell Industries is known for manufacturing some of the world’s best-selling sound systems. The sound systems that are featured in the Acura have the same amplifiers and transistors that Krell uses in its home sound systems.

This helps to ensure that every note that comes out of the Krell speakers has a clear and precise sound. The 14-speaker sound system gives you theater-quality sound while you are on the go.

Audi’s Bang and Olufsen sound system

Many luxury car brands like BMW, Bentley, and Aston Martin have used a Bang and Olufsen sound system in their vehicles. However, the 23-speaker 3D advanced audio system that is found in the 2017 Audi Q7 is one of B&O’s most impressive systems so far.

The 1,920-watt sound system features Acoustic Lens technology that is capable of manipulating the sound so that it can be delivered in a specific and unique pattern.

Porsche and Mercedes-Benz feature an impressive Burmester sound system

Porsche offers a Burmester High-End sound system in several of its models. The 821-watt sound system features 12 speakers that can be individually controlled to allow you to have a fully customizable musical experience.

Mercedes-Benz has also teamed up with Burmester to give its drivers a unique listening experience while they are on the road. In the S-Class, Mercedes-Benz offers a Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound System that features 27 speakers that are strategically placed throughout the car that allows you to feel like you are part of the music rather than just simply listening to it.

This 1,590-watt system uses a combination of digital and analog amplifiers to deliver a high-quality, natural sound throughout the interior of the car.

Bowers and Wilkins audio system in the Volvo

The 2016 Volvo XC90 features an impressive Bowers and Wilkins sound system that allows you to immerse yourself in the music. This 19-speaker system comes with three different pre-programmed listening modes: Individual Stage, Studio, and Gothenburg Concert Hall.

You can customize the sound quality, or you can choose one of the listening modes. The Concert Hal mode enables the music to automatically switch between several different speakers, which allows you to hear each note with unrivaled clarity.

With today’s technology, more and more automobile manufacturers are choosing to team up with some of the best brands in the audio system industries. Thanks to this collaboration, there are now plenty of cars to choose from that come equipped with a high-quality sound system.
