Consumer Reports approves of the 2022 Hyundai Tucson SUV
Consumer Reports gave the 2022 Hyundai Tucson top scores across the board. It scored an 89 out of 100 overall and came in second on the list of compact SUVs. The road test, predicted reliability, and predicted owner satisfaction scores came in at five out of five. Standard active safety features include forward-collision warning (FCW), automatic emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection, and blind-spot warning (BSW).

The 2022 Subaru Forester also received praise from Consumer Reports
The 2022 Subaru Forester had similar results from Consumer Reports tests. In fact, it came in first on the compact SUV list. The Forester impressed on the road test, and the predicted reliability score came in at four out of five. The predicted owner satisfaction was the same. FCW and AEB are standard, but BSW isn’t available on the base trim.

The 2022 Subaru Crosstrek is one of the best SUVs under $30,000
The 2022 Subaru Crosstrek has similar good scores from Consumer Reports. In fact, CR says it is a “small, versatile SUV.” This Subaru SUV comes with a few engine types and even a plug-in hybrid option. FCW and AEB are standard with the automatic transmission option. BSW is optional.

If you want a popular SUV, the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport qualifies
One of the most popular SUVs on the market right now, the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport does it all. The Bronco Sport SUV has high predicted reliability and predicted owner satisfaction scores, which makes sense given the praise from owners. Consumer Reports says the Sport is based on the Ford Escape body but with more off-road-ready attributes. FCW, AEB, and BSW are standard.

One of the more reliable SUVs under $30,000 is the 2022 Honda CR-V
While the 2022 Honda CR-V isn’t the most exciting option on the Consumer Reports list, it is one of the most reliable. The Honda SUV has a roomy cabin, 28 mpg overall, and a hybrid powertrain option. It also has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. FWC and AEB are standard; BSW is optional.

Consumer Reports says don’t count out the 2022 Mazda CX-5
Another reliable option is the 2022 Mazda CX-5. The CX-5 is always received high scores from experts due to its comfortable nature. Consumer Reports found that it got a respectable 24 mpg overall and had a quiet cabin. One of the major selling points is that FCW, AEB, and BSW are all standard.
