The 2021 Mercedes E-Class is a reliable luxury car. It comes in a variety of styles like a sedan, wagon, coupe, and convertible. Depending on which one you pick, it has room for four to seven passengers. Additionally, the E-Class comes in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options. The AMG option spices things up further.

U.S. News gave the E-Class an 8.7 out of 10, with a 9.3 from the critics. J.D. Power ranked the car a 75/100 overall. The base price for the E-Class is high, but you get what you pay for. Starting at around $54,000 and going up to $112,000 for the AMG E 63 S Wagon, there is a lot of wiggle room.

The 2021 BMW 5 Series is another reliable luxury car

The 2021 BMW 5 Series is pretty similar to the E-Class. It has a variety of engine options and room for five passengers. The cabin is roomy, and the styling is classic for BMW. As far as the price, it has a similar range as the E-Class. Around $54,000 through $105,000 for the higher-end versions.

U.S. News gave it a perfect safety score of 10/10 and an overall score of 77/100. The 5 has better fuel economy and sharper handling than the E, but it comes down to preference. Many drivers will not switch from Mercedes to BMW willingly. Choose your side!

The 2021 Genesis G80 is a new luxury sedan

The 2021 Genesis G80 is a quiet and comfortable luxury car. Not quite as showy as the BMW and Mercedes option, but it doesn’t need to be. The G80 is spacious, has a comfortable right, and has room for five passengers. U.S. News ranked it at 8.4 out of 10.

J.D. Power offered the G80 a score of 81/100, not bad for a newer car. The Genesis has a roomy back seat and cargo area, in addition to an easy-to-navigate infotainment system. Genesis also offers a best-in-class 1-year and 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

Old reliable: the 2021 Lexus ES

The 2021 Lexus ES is old and reliable. With Toyota’s reliability mixed with Lexus luxury, you can’t go wrong with the ES. The sedan has a smooth ride and luxurious interior coupled with a lot of standard safety features.

U.S. News gave the ES a safety score of 9/4 out of 10 and an overall score of 79/100. It offers good fuel economy and a solid V6 engine. With a starting price of around $39,000 for the base model, this is an affordable and reliable pick.

A new option is the 2021 Acura TLX

Last but not least is the 2021 Acura TLX. The TLX received a full redesign for the 2021 model, and the styling shows it. The new turbocharged engine makes it quick, and the low starting price makes it an affordable luxury option.

U.S. News gave the TLX a perfect safety score of 10/10. It has a roomy cargo area, but reportedly the back seat is a bit cramped. Overall, the TLX is quiet and comfortable enough. Starting at $37,000, you can keep the TLX on your list.

Luxury cars have a tendency to be more reliable, but that is not always the case. The vehicles on this list are reliable luxury cars that likely won’t leave you stranded due to maintenance issues. The cost might be higher, but the headaches will be few and far between.
