The Toyota Camry Hybrid offers a smooth ride and a spacious cabin with the added benefit of a hybrid powertrain. According to the EPA, you can expect up to 31 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. We’ll admit that’s not the best mileage for a hybrid car, but features like heated leather seats, Bluetooth, and navigation help make the cost of entry worth it. Speaking of cost, Kelley Blue Book reports that the average listing price for a 2011 Camry Hybrid is $8,518.

It’s only natural to have the Toyota Prius on this list. After all, it is the mileage champion. Although Toyota has changed the Prius in the past decade, the 2012 model still posts impressive fuel economy numbers.

The EPA states that it can get up to 49 mpg in the city and 46 mpg on the highway, which can easily go up to around 50 mpg depending on what kind of real-world driving you do. KBB notes, “Add in familiar Prius styling and features, Toyota reliability, and ease of service, and you have a recipe for a great commuter.”
