The Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack packs the marque’s largest and most powerful naturally aspirated V8, a monstrous 6.4L mill. However, with 485 horsepower, the Scat Pack tends to light its tires up when attempting to launch its considerable weight. As a result, several cars with less horsepower will outsprint the Mopar muscle car. Check out these four cars faster than a Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack, like the 2018 Ford Mustang GT with a 10-speed automatic or the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS.

  • 2022 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS
  • 2018 Ford Mustang GT Automatic
  • 2023 Toyota GR Supra 3.0
  • 2023 Nissan Z Performance
  • 2022 BMW M240i xDrive

Is a Chevrolet Camaro 2SS fast?

The most recent V8-powered Chevrolet Camaros aren’t just fast; they’re fast enough to serve a Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack an entree from Gapplebees. Despite a smaller displacement powerplant, the 455-horsepower 6.2L V8-equipped 2022 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS can make the sprint to 60 mph in around 3.9 seconds, 0.3 seconds faster than the heavier, more powerful Mopar. Better yet, the leather-wrapped 2022 Camaro 2SS starts at $46,060, per Kelley Blue Book.

Is the Ford Mustang GT Automatic faster than a Challenger R/T Scat Pack?

The 2018 Ford Mustang GT was a performance benchmark in the S550 Mustang lineup. Moreover, the lighter, less powerful Ford pony car will outrun the big Challenger R/T Scat Pack to 60 mph. While most publications will quote a low 4-second 0 to 60 mph time for the Ford, MotorTrend managed to get a 10-speed automatic 2018 GT to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.

Moreover, the Mustang GT is cheaper and offers a from-the-factory convertible option without a significant special order upcharge.

Is the Toyota GR Supra 3.0 fast?

The 2023 Toyota GR Supra might not be as classically handsome as the Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack, but it is undoubtedly faster. The GR Supra, with the turbocharged 3.0 inline six-cylinder mill, produces 382 horsepower, a far cry from the Mopar’s 485 ponies. However, Hagerty says the lighter, over-engineered BMW-Toyota collaboration coupe will smash a run to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds.

Will a Nissan Z Performance accelerate faster than a Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack?

The Nissan Z takes the light, purposeful sports car formula of the Toyota GR Supra and adds extra horsepower and character. Moreover, the twin-turbocharged 2023 Nissan Z Performance features retro-inspired styling, just like the Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack. However, with its nine-speed automatic, the upcoming Nissan Z Performance will hit 60 mph in just 4.0 seconds. That makes the retro sports coupe swifter than the big, naturally aspirated Dodge muscle car.

How fast is the 2022 BMW M240i xDrive?

The wild card in the deck, the 2022 BMW M240i xDrive, is the quickest and most understated car on this list. The BMW 2-Series coupe features the same turbocharged 3.0L inline six-cylinder mill as the Toyota GR Supra 3.0. However, the M240i, with its AWD xDrive system, will hit 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. Also, the BMW coupe starts at around $49,545, making it slightly more expensive than the Dodge, if also considerably faster.
