The 2023 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Blue ticks many boxes in the sensible midsize sedan segment. However, the Sonata Hybrid Blue isn’t alone; the other fuel-sipping sedans, like the 2023 Toyota Camry Hybrid, are long-legged options to take on the Hyundai model. Still, the Hyundai model might be your best bet for several reasons, like its five-year, 60,000-mile basic warranty.

How much is the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid?

The 2023 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Blue starts at around $28,250. The Hybrid Blue trim is the lowest-priced hybrid in the model’s lineup.

Still, the Sonata offers two additional hybrid options at higher trim levels than the Blue. The 2023 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid SEL starts at $31,600, and the range-topping Hybrid Limited starts at $36,400. As a result, the Hyundai model’s lower and upper-trim hybrid offerings are slightly cheaper than a comparable 2023 Toyota Camry Hybrid LE and range-topping Hybrid XSE.

What is the mpg for a 2023 Sonata Hybrid Blue?

The 2023 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Blue averages around 50 mpg city and 54 mpg highway for an EPA-estimated 52 mpg combined. However, fuel economy figures drop for the Hybrid SEL and Limited trims. Specifically, the two posher hybrid Sonatas get around 45 mpg city and 51 mpg highway.

Moreover, the Sonata Hybrid Blue’s commendable fuel efficiency figures make it a bit more of a fuel sipper than a comparable 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid and its 48 mpg combined. Additionally, the Sonata hybrid models match the Camry Hybrid’s 52 mpg combined for a lower starting price with a more extended warranty.

What is the warranty on a 2023 Toyota Camry?

The 2023 Toyota Camry lineup’s basic warranty is three years and 36,000 miles. Additionally, the Camry Hybrid’s EV warranty covers electrical components for eight years and 100,000 miles.

However, the 2023 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Blue offers a five-year, 60,000-mile basic warranty that covers the vehicle for considerably longer than competitors from Toyota and Honda. Moreover, the Hyundai hybrid model’s three-year, 36,000-mile free-maintenance warranty out-lasts the Toyota Camry Hybrid’s two-year, 25,000-mile program.

How much cargo space does a Hyundai Sonata Hybrid have?

The 2023 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Blue boasts 16 cubic feet of storage, around average for a midsized sedan. However, the Sonata’s trunk is big enough to out-accommodate the Toyota Camry’s volume by around one cubic foot.
