In the competition between the Honda Accord and the Toyota Camry to be the best-selling midsize sedan, the Accord made a big jump for the 2023 model year with a pleasing redesign. Along with the attractive new styling, it offers a new hybrid system and new technologies. Here are four reasons the 2023 Honda Accord is better than the 2023 Toyota Camry.

2023 Honda Accord has an all-new design, but the 2023 Toyota Camry hasn’t been redesigned in 5 years

The first reason the 2023 Honda Accord is better than the 2023 Toyota Camry is its all-new design. The Accord is redesigned, but the Camry hasn’t had any major changes in five years. If you’re the type of driver that desires the newest things and the freshest look in the automotive world, then the Accord is a good choice for you.

While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the 2023 Accord might be the best-looking Accord ever built. It nicely fuses elegance with sportiness and sophistication. The front of the midsize sedan has bold styling, with blacked-out LED headlights and an upright grille. Also, the long hood transitions to a flowing fastback roofline, creating an attractive shape.

Additionally, for the roof line, Honda used laser brazing technology, resulting in a smooth and clean look. At the rear, there are unique horizontal LED straight-line taillights. Plus, these design elements are complemented by a sharp upper character line that runs the length of the body.

In comparison, the design of the Camry is somewhat outdated. The Camry is due for a redesign, so we’ll have to see if it gets one in the next year or two.

2023 Accord provides more passenger space than the 2023 Camry

The second reason the 2023 Honda Accord is better than the 2023 Toyota Camry is it has more passenger space. On your excursions, especially the long ones, any extra passenger space makes a difference in providing a more comfortable ride.

Both midsize sedans can seat up to five people. However, the Accord has a total passenger volume of 105.7 cu-ft, compared to 100.4 cu-ft for the Camry. Also, the extra passenger space is most noticeable for the rear seats. The Accord offers 40.8 inches of rear legroom, while the Accord has just 38.0 inches.

Honda Accord has a larger trunk than the Toyota Camry

The fourth reason the 2023 Accord midsize sedan is better than the 2023 Camry is its larger trunk. For trunk space, the Accord has a maximum cargo capacity of 16.7 cu-ft, compared to 15.1 cu-ft for the Camry.

Not only does the Accord have a larger trunk than the Camry, but it also has the most cargo space for the mainstream midsize sedan segment. Whether going on a grocery run or traveling on a long trip, the Accord provides the space to help fulfill your storage needs.

2023 Accord has a bigger infotainment system touchscreen than the 2023 Camry

The fourth reason the 2023 Accord is better than the 2023 Camry is its bigger infotainment system touchscreen. The latest trend in the automotive industry is larger touchscreens — to make it easier for drivers and passengers to utilize the many features in the infotainment system. And for 2023, the Accord goes bigger with its available 12.3-inch touchscreen. In comparison, the largest touchscreen that the Camry offers is a 9.0-inch version.

The 2023 Honda Accord is better than the 2023 Toyota Camry for its stylish redesign, more passenger space, a larger trunk, and a bigger infotainment system touchscreen. When deciding which midsize sedan to get, these are factors to consider.
