Not every Sports cars is useless whenever cold weather and snow come around. Instead, potential owners can check out some used sports cars under $30,000 and tick all of their boxes. Check out some of the best used sports cars with all-wheel drive (AWD) for winter weather that won’t break the bank, like a Subaru WRX STi or Audi S5.

Is the Audi S5 AWD?

The Audi S5 is an AWD chameleon; the S5 is available as a sensible sedan, sporty coupe, or sun-soaked convertible. However, if you want a winter sports car bargain, check out an older S5 coupe, like an 8T generation coupe. For instance, Kelley Blue Book (KBB) says the 4.2L V8-powered 2012 S5 coupe is about $21,000 with 50,000 miles. Better yet, it’s a sophisticated sports coupe with AWD and a delightful V8 soundtrack.

Of course, if you want to step it up, check out the RS 5 with 450 horsepower for suck-you-back-into-your-seat launches. Still, even a preowned RS 5 is a pricey undertaking; KBB says the fair private party value for a 2013 RS 5 with 50,000 miles is around $32,975. Also, be prepared to budget for maintenance on any older luxury car.

Is the Audi TT one of the best used sports cars for winter?

The Audi TT is an underappreciated sports car with winter driving credentials. Audi’s AWD system made its way into the marque’s diminutive good-time vehicle, and potential owners can choose between a coupe or convertible. If you’re looking for a sports car under $30,000 to tackle winter conditions, a 2015 Audi TT fits the bill. Of course, you won’t find the 4.2L V8 from the S5 in your 2015 TT; the little Audi sports car packs a 2.0L four-cylinder powerplant.

Does the Subaru WRX STi have AWD?

The Subaru WRX STi is a staple in race-ready AWD grip. Of course, purists who think the Subaru’s two extra doors disqualify it from sports car conversations should tune this next part out. A 2017 WRX STi is a 305-horsepower sports car with space for friends and AWD to grip hard and slice through inclement weather. Better yet, KBB says a 2017 WRX STi with average mileage has an average fair value of $28,000.

Oh, and you can find one with a manual transmission, too. You’re welcome.

Is a Porsche 911 Carrera 4 996 a good used sports car for winter?

There’s little debate that modern Porsche 911s are anything other than supercars, but a type 996 911 Carrera 4 might be your formula for an excellent AWD sports car. For instance, the 2001 Carrera 4 coupe with permanent AWD has a fair purchase price of about $27,099 with average miles (59,466).

However, if you want open skies above your head in your AWD sports car, check out a Carrera 4 Cabriolet . The type-996 drop-top sports car has a fair purchase price of around $28,994. Vehicles like the Carrera 4 and Audi S5 prove that fun doesn’t have to be limited to fair-weather drives. Scroll down to the following article to read more about sports cars!
