Having a child brings several changes into your life, and travel is at the top of the list. The days of jumping in the car and running to the mall on a whim are over. Before leaving the house, you’ll need to make sure you have enough milk, wipes, diapers, toys, and a change of clothes for starters. Then you may need to consider getting a new car because your beloved two-seater convertible makes installing a car seat impossible. Not to mention, having more than one child may mean that you need multiple car seats.

Choosing which car seat you will use is a surprisingly big decision and there are a lot of options out there. Before you hit your favorite retail store to look at the potential car seats available, doing a little research will save you a lot of time and heartache. That being said, here are four car seats from Safety.com that we’ve checked out that may suit the needs of you and your little ones.

Graco 4Ever 4-in-1 convertible car seat

Rated ‘Best car seat for your growing child’ by Safety.com, the Graco 4Ever has won many awards. One of the great features of this model is the fact that it’s adjustable. Obviously, your child is not going to stay the same size, so it doesn’t make sense to spend more money on a new seat every time your little one hits a new growth sprout.

Parenting.com reports that “Graco 4Ever All-in-1 Car Seat gives you 10 years with one car seat. It’s comfortable for your child and convenient for you as it transitions from rear-facing infant car seat, to forward-facing 5-point harness seat, to high-back belt-positioning booster, and to backless belt-positioning booster.”

The Graco 4Ever is available for purchase at Amazon for $299.99

Chicco KeyFit 30 infant car seat

One of the biggest headaches about dealing with car seats, especially for new parents, is trying to figure out if it’s been installed properly. Chicco took this into consideration when it designed the KeyFit 30 by adding in “Two easy-to-read bubble levels that accurately verify base angle during installation.”

There is also a super-cinch tightener that helps secure the seat with less effort. For parents who haven’t had any rest for several nights, this makes installing the car seat a lot less stressful and energy-consuming.

The KeyFit 30 is available for purchase at Amazon for $199.99.

Britax advocate ClickTight anti-rebound bar convertible car seat, Circa

The Britax is another option that makes installation less of a hassle. It also takes into consideration what could happen in a wreck. Britax reports that Clicktight “offers three layers of side impact protection, an impact-absorbing base and steel frame for maximum safety.” While no one plans or wants to be in a wreck, it’s comforting to know that your child has extra layers of protection built into just in case there is an accident.

The Clicktight can be purchased at Amazon for $379.99.

Diono Radian 3RXT all-in-one

The Radian comes in a variety of colors for parents who like to stand of the crowd, but there are other great features as well. Diono reports that, “Your child’s safety is our top priority, with premium, innovative features the Diono radian® 3RXT is sleek and stylish with all the practicalities that you could possibly need like a steel alloy frame, aluminum reinforced side walls, energy absorbing EPS foam, and memory foam to put your mind at ease as your little one travels safely in style and comfort.”
