First up on my list of modern used midsize trucks is the 2018 Nissan Frontier. It’s a solid workhorse with a reliability rating of 83 out of 100 from J.D.Power

It has tech that’s praised for being simple and effective with a 5.0-inch display, navigation, and 12-volt power ports for dual-port USB chargers. It has dual-automatic climate control, rear parking sensors, and blind spot monitoring. 

2. The 2019 Ford Ranger 

Check out the reliable 2019 Ford Ranger. J.D.Power gave it a reliability score of 84 out of 100, which is above average. 

This Ranger model has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making it extremely modern feeling. It has an available 8.0-inch touchscreen and a 110-volt power outlet. A few modern safety features include blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. 

3. 2016 Chevrolet Colorado

The 2016 Chevy Colorado is one of the older used midsize trucks worth considering. It has a reliability rating of 80 out of 100 from J.D.Power. This is an average score. 

It provides access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with an available 8.0-inch touchscreen. The Colorado offers navigation, USB ports, keyless entry, and automatic climate control. Safety features include forward collision warning and lane departure warning.
