Absolutely, the 2022 Toyota Tundra is an excellent truck to consider buying. It’s back with a brand new exterior and interior design. Plus, it has more power than before and advanced tech. But never make a blind purchase.

Always carefully research your options before going all in. This is becoming harder to do as inventory remains limited and people are ordering their trucks online. So, we have a few Tundra tips that you should know. These could be positive or negative for you.

1. How big is the 2022 Tundra?

The 2022 Toyota Tundra is large and in charge. If you want a big truck, then enjoy this beast. It has enough space in the cab for five adults to sit comfortably. There is more than enough cargo space for all your gear too.

The Tundra CrewMax is 78 inches tall, 80 inches wide, and 233.6 inches long. These measurements are for the Tundra with a 5.5-foot bed and 145.7-inch wheelbase.

If you upgrade to the 6.5-foot bed, then it’s 245.6 inches long with a 157.7-inch wheelbase. The double cab can be paired with an 8.1-footbed for 96.5 inches of bed length. It can carry up to 1,660 lbs.

The Tundra has a turning radius of 24.3 to 26 feet, so give yourself a little extra space in tight city areas. You’ll learn how to park it like a pro in no time.

Also, it has a massive fuel tank. It has a 32.2-gallon tank and can travel about 574.4 to 708.4 miles between fill-ups.

2. The Tundra has a lot of tech

Some people like a truck without all the bells and whistles, all it has to do is get from point A to Point B. But you can get a fully loaded 2022 Toyota Tundra with tons of advanced tech, such as automatic running boards and a power tailgate.

The interior features available ambient lighting, ventilated seats in the front and rear, a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging, a panoramic moonroof, a rear power window, and more.

It’s easy to connect wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Navigation directions are displayed on the head-up display and 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster.

Cameras are everywhere. You can use the 360-degrees camera to see all around the truck. There are front side views, rear side views, a view of what’s in front of the truck, what’s behind you, and a truck bed view.

There are tons of driving modes, including Eco, Normal, Comfort, Sport, and Sport+. Each option adjusts the suspension, engine noise, and response times.

3. The Tundra has plenty of power

The 2022 Toyota Tundra has got the power! The model we tested had the i-FORCE twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine with 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. It provides instant acceleration with smooth transmission shifts.

You can opt for the i-FORCE MAX 3.6-liter V6 hybrid for 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 5.7-seconds, which is incredible for a beast this size. When properly equipped, the Tundra can tow up to 12,000 lbs.

The Tundra didn’t feel too heavy for some light off-roading. It handled mud and ruts without a single issue. You just have to ensure that the trails are wide enough for the gigantic truck.

If you want a big truck with advanced tech and incredible power, then the Toyota Tundra is the perfect option. It’s smart, comfortable, and capable.
