In the case of the BMW XY, it was the best large luxury sport utility vehicle in its class. The Porsche Cayenne and Macan also made the list as some of the best luxury SUVs 2022 has to offer.

Consumer Reports says the 2022 Porsche Cayenne is a good choice on the list of satisfying luxury SUVs. In fact, the experts at CR say, “The Cayenne luxury SUV drives almost like a sports car. Few SUVs can match it when it comes to handling agility.”

Consumer Reports asks owners during its annual auto survey if the vehicle is something worth purchasing again. 78% of Porsche Cayenne owners would repurchase the satisfying luxury SUV. The Cayenne scored high on the road test and an average predicted reliability score. The owner satisfaction score was high. Consumer Reports noted that the high notes were high in the handling, steering, quietness, and seat comfort. Hesitation from a rolling stop and ride comfort were noted as lows.

The Porsche Macan is a smaller, satisfying luxury SUV option

The 2022 Porsche Macan is the smaller satisfying luxury SUV in the lineup. Consumer Reports said of the Macan, “The Macan combines much of the performance and feel of Porsche’s sports cars in a small SUV.” The Porsche sport utility vehicle received a high score overall, same with the predicted reliability. The predicted owner satisfaction score was above-average as well.

Owners were pleased with the 2022 Macan’s driving experience, comfort, and styling. 79% of owners would repurchase the Porsche Macan. Consumer Reports complimented the handling, seat comfort, interior fit, and finish as highs. As the Macan is the smaller SUV in the lineup, one of the drawbacks was a lack of cargo space.

The BMW X7 is a super-lux sport utility vehicle

Consumer Reports said the 2022 BMW X7 is a “super-luxurious three-row SUV has a standard turbo six-cylinder engine and a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission.” That’s probably why CR picked this satisfying luxury SUV first out of 11 similar luxury large sport utility vehicles. The X7 received a 94 out of 100 overall, with an average score for the predicted reliability.

The predicted owner satisfaction score was good, like the two Porsche options. 79% of owners would rebuy the BMW X7, higher than any other vehicle in its segment. Some of the highs noted were the powertrain, interior room, and the quiet cabin. The lows note that the optional second-row captain’s chairs don’t fold down, which compromises the comfort of passengers.
