Maserati cars have always been stunning, from the marque’s racing pedigree to its sing-songy performance luxury cars. However, the brand also has a bit of a reputation for questionable reliability and excessive maintenance costs. Still, not every vehicle in the automaker’s tenure will leave you high and dry. Check out a few of the most reliable used Maserati models, like the 2019 GranTurismo, 2014 Quattroporte, and 2020 Ghibli.

Which is the most reliable Maserati?

While Maserati doesn’t have a glowing reputation for reliability, some of the latest models don’t exhibit the tidal wave of owner complaints and reports of gremlins like some of the marque’s classics. Check out a few of your best bets from the storied automaker.

  • 2019 GranTurismo
  • 2020 Ghibli

Admittedly, the Quattroporte and GranTurismo might lack the panache of a classic BiTurbo or Merak. However, the newer models boast technology-packed cabins and fewer complaints of electrical problems, build quality issues, and undiagnosable engine problems that plagued the classics. That, and the GranTurismo’s 4.7L V8 sings a song that demands attention.

How much is a 2014 Maserati Quattroporte Q4?

A 2014 Maserati Quattroporte Q4 has a fair purchase price of around $25,581 with average mileage. That’s a tempting prospect for a four-door Ferrari with a 404-horsepower, turbocharged 3.0L V6. Of course, the range-topping super sedan is the GTS, which packs a 523-horsepower turbocharged 3.8L V8.

Better yet, iSeeCars says the Quattroporte is the marque’s most reliable model, ahead of the Levante and Ghibli. Also, the Quattroporte’s No. 13 spot on the list of the most reliable large luxury cars puts it ahead of the Cadillac CT6 in terms of overall reliability. Still, the Italian automaker earned a paltry No. 8 out of nine in terms of popular luxury car brands.

Is the 2019 Maserati GranTurismo a reliable car?

According to Car Complaints, the 2019 Maserati GranTurismo was the last model year before the marque discontinued it, and it has no owner-reported issues. Moreover, Kelley Blue Book (KBB) says the GranTurismo has no open recalls and an average annual maintenance cost of around $1,200.

Better yet, the GranTurismo’s 454-horsepower 4.7L V8 is a welcome adversary for the Jaguar F-TYPE and Aston Martin Vantage.

How much is a 2020 Maserati Ghibli?

A base-model 2020 Maserati Ghibli has a fair value of around $41,500. However, the range-topping Ghibli S Q4 GranSport raises that value to $58,576. Still, a used car approaching $60,000 will have to contend with other options like the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio.

Moreover, the 2020 Ghibli has zero owner reports about reliability issues or gremlins, per Car Complaints. As a result, the Ghibli has the potential to be a dependable performance luxury car.
