The new Cadillac CT4 and 2023 Acura Integra are bargains in the compact luxury sedan category. They include a wealth of features buyers expect in this segment and a good mix of luxury and performance for a reasonable sum of money.

The CT4 is Cadillac’s compact sedan. It’s quick and comfortable and offers a lot of value. In person, the CT4 is striking, with creases and chiseled edges that look good from every angle. That design carries into the interior, which offers a comfortable space for front passengers, but cramped accommodations in the back.

The Integra is back after spending more than 20 years in exile, while Acura started naming its cars after letter combinations in its alphabet soup. Based on the Honda Civic, it’s Acura’s entry-level premium small car. And while some of the Civic’s components are apparent, there’s no denying the Integra offers Honda practicality and a premium driving experience.

Both sedans should be on your shortlist, but one might better fit your needs. According to Kelly Blue Book (KBB), there are three reasons to choose the Acura Integra over the Cadillac CT4.

1. Value Pricing

The Acura Integra and Cadillac CT4 are bargains in the compact luxury car category, but the Integra undercuts the CT4 by more than $3,000. Upgrading to the top-level A-Spec puts the Integra at $35,800 or about $1,000 over the CT4’s base price.

Standard equipment on the Integra includes 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights/daytime running lights/taillights, a powered moonroof, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and heated front seats.

The infotainment system includes a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, and eight speakers. Safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.

Well-equipped, the 2023 Acura Integra offers more features than cars like the Audi A3, BMW 2 Series, and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class for less money.

2. Roomy Interior

The 2023 Integra has more interior room than the CT4, especially in the backseat. It also offers more cargo space and versatility due to its liftback. Compared to the Integra, the Cadillac CT4’s backseat feels more cramped than economy class on a cross-country flight, and the trunk room is limited.

In addition to having more interior room, the 2023 Acura Integra feels bigger. Outward vision is excellent thanks to the thin pillars, making the cabin feel airy. The only place sightlines are compromised is in the back due to the large rear hatch.

3. Fuel Economy

Another area the 2023 Acura Integra excels in is fuel economy. With an estimated 30 mpg city and 37 mpg highway, it’s one of the most efficient cars in its class. Compared to the Cadillac CT4, that fuel economy will save you about $500 yearly at the pump, reports KBB. That may seem small, but it adds up, especially when gas prices spike.

The Acura Integra is one of the best compact luxury cars in its segment

For all these reasons, the 2023 Acura Integra is one of the best cars you can buy in the compact luxury segment. It has a bargain price and will save you money on gas. Yet, it’s also loaded with premium features and is fun to drive.

In addition to the low base price and great fuel economy, it’s also roomier than the Cadillac CT4, making it a better fit for small families and people who need the versatility of a four-door liftback.

Finally, it has the Integra name, which has more brand equity than the CT4. Millennials and Gen-Xers who grew up playing Gran Turismo are very familiar with it. So when they need a practical, reasonably priced car and want a luxury performance sedan? Integra is a name they will gravitate toward.
