If there’s one thing that American automakers Ford and Ram know, it’s how to build an awesome truck. Ford and Ram frequently top full-size truck rankings with the Ford F-150 and Ram 1500. The automakers have built powerful (and expensive) super-truck variants of their best-selling models. The Ford F-150 Raptor and the Ram 1500 TRX have insane power and off-roading capability. Ford decided to share that power with its small off-road SUV, the Bronco.

The 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor is the first of its kind

The 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor brings Raptor power to the Blue Oval’s small off-roading sensation. The Ford Bronco came to the market way back in 1966. After thirty years and five generations of the nameplate, it was discontinued in 1996 after sales dwindled. Small SUVs were going out of style. Large SUVs began to dominate the market.

Today, small SUVs are back in style, and so is the Ford Bronco. The Blue Oval revived the nameplate in 2021 amidst a strong resurgence of off-roading as an American pastime. Plenty of automakers are producing off-road nameplates and packages to meet demand, so why not bring back Ford’s OG small off-road SUV?

The Ford Bronco arrived in several different trims. Demand was so high after its release that its limited capacity created a huge resale market. Bronco models are available on eBay for over double their retail price. Despite a lack of supply, Ford is releasing yet another Bronco trim that most consumers won’t ever get to drive: the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor.

Every available Bronco trim is equipped for a different level of off-roading difficulty. The Bronco Raptor is the most capable model yet. It’s a desert runner. Ford showcases its potential by allowing pro off-road racer Shelby Hall to take the wheel in its new video ad. One reason the Ford Bronco Raptor is worth $69,995 is that it is the first of its kind. This small SUV model is truly unique.

The 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor is the most powerful Bronco

One of the many reasons that the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor is worth every penny is because the Bronco Raptor is the most powerful Bronco yet. According to Car and Driver, it uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine to make a whopping 400 horsepower. This is an incredible amount of power for a small SUV model.

There are plenty of capable new Ford Bronco Raptor trims, but none match the Bronco Raptor in power. The small off-road SUV may be expensive, but the experience it provides is one of a kind.

The Ford Bronco Raptor can go places that other small SUVs cannot

The Ford Bronco Raptor isn’t the average small SUV. Thanks to features like a Raptor Hoss 4.0 suspension and Fox 3.1 live valve shocks, it can handle treacherous terrain. The small off-road SUV is also equipped with massive 37-inch tires.

It uses an advanced four-wheel drive system and includes different terrain modes. The Bronco Raptor is ready to tackle the gnarliest of trails and makes a fine desert runner. Like the F-150 Raptor, it isn’t for everyone. That being said, those who do purchase it will be among the select few to experience a whole new level of off-road capability.
