Ford is releasing some of the most exciting new trucks and SUVs of the decade. The company is producing groundbreaking models. Unfortunately, these trucks and SUVs aren’t always the easiest to attain. Some models seem downright impossible to buy.

The Ford Bronco is tough to buy

The Ford Bronco nameplate has risen from the grave. The small truck-based SUV was discontinued after larger SUV models became more popular. Demand for the Bronco dwindled until the Blue Oval decided that it was no longer lucrative to produce the nameplate. Today, small SUVs are all the rage. There’s also a demand for vehicles that are capable off-road.

Ford decided 2021 was the perfect time to bring the Bronco back. Unfortunately, the automaker wasn’t aware that a supply crisis was about to ravage the entire auto industry. The global pandemic caused a supply chain crisis. So, there was an incredible demand for the Ford Bronco, but the automaker lacked the materials to fulfill orders in a timely manner.

The end result was the Bronco becoming incredibly scarce. This caused the emergence of a strong resale market on sites like eBay. Broncos were listed for double their MSRP, and bidders were placing bids well above retail because of how hard it was to get the small SUV. Many orders were fulfilled late, and some models were missing parts to expedite the delivery process. The Bronco isn’t the only Ford model that the company has sold out of quickly either.

The 2022 Ford Maverick is in high demand

The 2022 Ford Maverick is unlike any other Ford pickup truck on the market. The Maverick is smaller and more affordable than any other Ford truck. It is also the first Ford truck to come standard with a hybrid powertrain.

The Maverick quickly became a hit in big cities like San Francisco and LA because of how practical its size is. It’s much easier to park than most other pickup trucks and has amazing gas mileage. The demand for the Maverick and the auto industry’s supply issues make for a risky combination for potential Maverik buyers. It seems like the Maverick is impossible to buy at times.

Ford’s small pickup truck is yet another Blue Oval vehicle that is suffering from success. Will the brand be able to sort out supply issues so the Maverick can continue to grow in popularity?

The Ford F-150 Lightning is already popular before production has begun

The Ford F-150 Lightning is already in high demand even though the Blue Oval has yet to begin production on the electric pickup truck. Ford already has over 200,000 F-150 Lightning reservations, which could backlog the truck for years.

According to Kelley Blue Book, the two most affordable F-150 Lightning trims, the Pro and XLT, are already sold out. If you haven’t already placed an order for the F-150 Lightning, you probably aren’t getting one anytime soon. Ford has several nameplates in its current lineup that are practically impossible to buy.
