Three Kentucky men keep robbing USPS mail carriers

It can be more dangerous to be a United States Postal Service mail carrier during the holidays. Thieves target mail trucks to steal cards filled with cash, checks, credit cards, and expensive presents.

Three men in Kentucky are currently at large after robbing three different USPS mail carriers and police officers want your help identifying the men. According to WHAS11, there is a $150,000 reward for information that leads to their arrest.

Three mail truck drivers were robbed within the hour on November 26 and only one incident was captured on video.

Surveillance cameras at the YMCA Safe Place building on Critten Drive. A masked man exited a white Audi sedan and stole the keys from a postal worker. Packages and mail were also taken with the help of two other men in the car.

Unfortunately, the license plate on the back of the car was stolen, so it didn’t help identify the men. Also, the stolen keys can be used to access postal boxes.

The first armed robbery occurred around noon on Hartlage Court behind the Shivey Post Office. Then the third incident was on Cypress Street, near Johnson Traditional Middle School. Each incident involved stealing postal keys.

One suspect has been arrested, but not charged with directly committing the robberies. Tips have been rolling in, but no one has provided enough information for the $150,000 reward.
