Here’s the deal, in 2023, full-size trucks are pretty expensive. Especially if you are someone who wants all of the bells and whistles on their pickup. But, even with pickup trucks climbing into the six-figure range, there are still some affordable options out there. And these are the three cheapest full-size trucks you can get in 2023.

Are there any cheap trucks left?

In the full-size segment, finding a cheap truck can seem difficult. A majority of the models out there can’t be had for under $30k. And while the Ford Maverick might be like an economy car in terms of price, some folks need something with more power and capability. That is where a half-ton pickup comes in.

Of course, according to TrueCar, the MSRP you see online and what you see at the dealership might be different. But these might be the cheapest full-size trucks on the market today.

3. 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500

OK, so this truck might be from last year, but it does have a lot to offer. There are a number of different powertrains available, including a potent V8. As a General Motors product, the Silverado 1500 might struggle to compete with the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 in terms of quality. But, the base model makes a legitimate argument for being a work truck.

The standard engine is a turbocharged four-cylinder, which is the same as found in the Chevy Colorado. But if you do want some of the better features offered by this pickup truck, you will need to climb to the higher trim levels.

2. 2023 Ram 1500 Classic

The Ram 1500 Classic is somewhat of an oddity. It is actually the previous generation of Ram’s full-size truck. When compared to the standard 2023 Ram 1500, the Classic is a legitimate bargain. Although, you will be foregoing on the modern features that you might expect from a new truck. But hey, you’re getting a truck that first became available for the 2009 model year.

The good news is that the 2023 Ram 1500 Classic feels like an old-school pickup. One of the more popular variants might be the Ram 1500 Classic Warlock. The Warlock comes with the 3.6-liter V6 engine, some aggressive looks, and potentially some better off-road capability.

1. 2023 Ford F-150

Instead of listing another GM product, the 2023 Ford F-150 has a starting cost of around $34k. Although, with dealership markups, it might be hard to find one at that price. Plus, you’ll just be getting a pretty utilitarian pickup.

That said, the F-150 has long been one of the best-selling full-size trucks in the United States. It seems like year after year; this pickup keeps winning. In 2023, Ford’s half-ton truck is available in multiple trim levels, and there are an array of powertrain options.

At the end of the day, though, the Ford F-150 is not for everyone. When it comes to trucks, personal preference often reigns supreme, especially when you are putting down such a large sum of cash to get one. Even if finding a cheap full-size truck in 2023 puts some limits on that.
