The 2023 Cadillac Escalade is one of the most revered full-size SUVs. However, it’s also one of the most expensive. Because of this, the ultra-luxurious Escalade isn’t a top choice for most people. Luckily, there are some SUVs that seat the same amount of people and have much to offer large families. They may not be as luxurious, but they are much more affordable than the 2023 Cadillac Escalade.

The 2023 Toyota Highlander is the perfect SUV for people who just want the space of an Escalade. The eight-seater Toyota SUV comes standard with a turbocharged 2.4-liter inline-four engine with a maximum output of 265 horsepower. It’s front-wheel drive on the base trim, but there are also all-wheel drive configurations. The 2023 Toyota Highlander accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 7.5 seconds.

Of course, this level of performance is a far cry from the 2023 Cadillac Escalade’s standard 6.2-liter V8. Additionally, you’re not going to get the same luxurious experience from the Toyota Highlander interior. However, the Toyota SUV is pretty big and is an excellent family vehicle. Where the 2023 Toyota Highlander comes out on top is that it’s the safer of the two SUVs. It has a five out of five-star rating from the NHTSA, while the 2023 Escalade has a four out of five-star rating.

2023 Hyundai Palisade

The 2023 Hyundai Palisade is another relatively cheap alternative to the latest Cadillac Escalade. Like the Escalade, it seats up to eight and offers room to spare. According to Edmunds, it has a 291 hp 3.8-liter V6 under its hood. It’s front-wheel drive on the base trim and uses an eight-speed automatic transmission. Regarding speed, it accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a respectable 6.4 seconds. This may not be as exciting as the 4.4 seconds from the 2023 Cadillac Escalade V, but it’s more than fast enough for a great family SUV.

Though the inside of the 2023 Hyundai Palisade is light years away from that of the Cadillac SUV, it still has much to offer. In many regards, the Palisade is Hyundai’s most luxurious vehicle, which means it has tons of features. Perhaps the best part is its standard 12.0-inch touchscreen display. Like the 2023 Toyota Highlander, the latest Hyundai Palisade is safer than the Escalade as it’s a top safety plus pick.

2023 Ford Expedition

The 2023 Ford Expedition is perhaps the easiest to see as a competitor to the Cadillac Escalade. The latest model seats up to eight people and delivers great performance. The base model has a 380 horsepower 3.5-liter V8 engine under its hood. It’s rear-wheel drive and uses a 10-speed automatic transmission. The highest trim has a maximum output of 400 hp. Regarding speed, the 2023 Ford Expedition accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 5.7 seconds. This isn’t too far off from the 2023 Cadillac Escalade V.

The 2023 Ford Expedition also has a pretty impeccable interior. It doesn’t level up to the Cadillac Escalade interior, but it’s well-liked. It has a huge 12.0-inch touchscreen display that rivals the displays used in other Fords. Like the other cheaper Cadillac Escalade alternatives, the latest Ford Expedition is also a top safety plus pick.
