1. 2023 Chevy Colorado 

    The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado is an excellent mid-size truck to consider. Plenty of models can be found for about $29,200. 

    But at this price, you may have to go with the 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 237 hp and 259 lb-ft of torque instead of the High-Ouput variant with 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. 

    This modern truck can tow up to 7,700 lbs and has a reliability rating of 85 out of 100 from J.D. Power. This is an above-average score based on feedback from owners. 

    2. 2023 Toyota Tacoma 

      Up next on the used pickup trucks list, we have the 2023 Toyota Tacoma. These tacos are popular for multiple reasons, including being extremely durable. You can find a 2023 model for about $2,700. 

      The base engine is a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine with 159 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque, which is lackluster. But this price leaves wiggle room for upgrading to the 3.5-liter V6 engine with 278 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. 

      You can tow up to 6,800 lbs with the 2023 Tacoma and it has a reliability rating of 83 out of 100 from J.D.Power, which is in the above-average range. 

      3. 2022 Ram 1500 

        If you need a full-size truck, then the 2022 Ram 1500 is a great option to consider. It can be found for about $29,060. It has a reliability rating of 80 out of 100 from J.D.Power, so it has an average score. 

        There are four different engines available and seven trim levels. The 2022 Ram 1500 can tow up to 12,560 lbs. These used pickup trucks fit various needs with plenty of muscle.
