The 2022 Kia Telluride SX is the final Telluride trim. It comes with amazing standard features for a reasonable price. The Telluride SX is worth every penny for drivers looking for a midsize family SUV that provides great value. Here are three features that make the popular SUV worth the money.

The 2022 Kia Telluride SX comes with a surround-view monitor

The surround-view monitor is often reserved for final trim level models like the Telluride SX. It provides drivers with a bird’s-eye view of their vehicle. This monitor is especially useful when squeezing into tight parking spaces and tackling off-road trails. The surround-view monitor is a driver assistance feature that costs a pretty penny.

The Telluride SX is the only Kia Telluride trim that features a surround-view monitor. It’s one of the many tech upgrades that make the SX worth buying over any other trim. The 2022 Kia Telluride SX costs $9,900 more than the base model Telluride SX.

All Telluride trims come standard with navigation-based smart cruise control with stop and go, a smart key with push-button and remote start, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. All Kia Telluride trims also include one-touch sliding and folding second-row seats, safe exit assist, and rear occupant alert with ultrasonic sensors. The Telluride comes with great standard features, but some of its best features are still reserved for upper trim levels.

Technology has allowed automobiles to become more convenient than ever before. Today, certain upper trim level vehicles feature a HUD, or heads-up display. It uses LED lights to reflect information onto the windshield of the vehicle in the driver’s field of vision. The HUD displays important information like navigation directions.

The HUD is an SX trim exclusive feature. It seems like a small detail, but the head-up display is proof of how far the industry has progressed technologically. The Telluride SX acknowledges the most minor inconveniences like having to look down at the infotainment screen to see the navigation map and provides solutions via technological innovations like the heads-up display.

The Telluride SX is affordable, but it’s still loaded with advanced tech that’s usually found in much more expensive vehicles. It’d be tough to find a midsize SUV in the Telluride’s segment that offers as much advanced standard tech for a competitive price.

The 2022 Kia Telluride SX has two sunroofs

The 2022 Kia Telluride SX is the only Telluride that comes with first and second-row sunroofs. Dual sunroofs are important for a family vehicle because they give both the drivers and passengers more cabin control and enhance their comfort. There’s nothin’ like letting the sunshine in on a beautiful day. The best part about having two sunroofs is that if one row doesn’t care for the extra sunshine or breeze, they can keep their roof closed.

The Telluride SX’s two sunroofs are the cherry on top for the final trim-level midsize SUV. The dual sunroofs prove that the South Korean automaker wants to provide as much value as possible with its final trim level.

Car and Driver recommends the Telluride SX over other Telluride trim levels. The Telluride SX is one of the few midsize SUVs in its segment that provides more value for the money than the base model Telluride.
