The Ice Pick Bandit slashed 296 semi-truck tires during third crime spree
There is a criminal at large, known as the ‘Ice Pick Bandit’. He first struck in June 2023 and has been targeting semi-truck drivers ever since.
The suspect is responsible for slashing over 1,000 tires in the past two years. He has targeted trucks in Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas.
There have been two recent attacks on big rigs between September 2024 and January 2024 at the Southfork Truck Stop on I-30 near Gurdon Arkansas.
According to Fox 16, 40 trucks were targeted and 296 tires were damaged. Some trucks had all 18 tires slashed. A semi-truck tire costs between $300 to $500 to replace. So, replacing all 18 could cost between $10,000 to $12,000.

Plus, the trucks might have to be towed to a shop. If their tires are slashed, they can’t drive. That means that theirdeliveries might be late or canceled if perishable items are onboard. Then the drivers face late fees and might not get paid.
It’s wild that these attacks occur while truckers are sleeping in their cabs, sometimes with guard dogs. But the suspect must be sneaky.
Police officers believe that the Ice Truck Bandit is a white male between 30 to 40 years old. His preferred outfit seems to be a baseball cap, t-shirt, jeans, and gloves. This allows him to blend in with other drivers.
Watkins, a truck driver who regularly frequents the Southfork Truck Stop recommends that the suspect turns himself in as ‘truckers would love to catch him and put a whooping on him.’
