Where does the time go? It seems like the Jeep  Grand Cherokee was just redesigned! However, the 2026 model is rocking a refresh for a mid-cycle update. Plus, it has a surprising new engine for drivers to enjoy.

The 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a new face and engine

Wow, the Jeep Grand Cherokee was last redesigned in 2021. So, it makes sense that the 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee is already sporting a mid-cycle refresh.

Sure, it has a new face and tech. But let’s start with the most exciting upgrade. The Grand Cherokee has a new engine, called the Hurricane 4 Turbo.

According to Stellantis, the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder Hurricane engine delivers 324 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque with segment leading 162 hp per liter on regular gas

With this engine, you get an estimated best-in-class driving range of 506 miles and the class-leading 6,200 lb towing figure.

The increase of power without sacrificing efficiency is achieved by the first application of Turbolent Jet Ignition Technology.

A small amount of fuel in a cup-like pre-camber atop each cylinder ignores a small amount of fuel. The fuel expands and jets into the combustion chamber, triggering a faster and more complete burn.

Other updates include an updated face to maintain a distinct, upright shape with a reimagined seven-slot grille design.

There’s also a new headlight design and updated rear and lower fascia style. Three new shades of paint include Steel Blue, Copper Shino, and Fathom Blue.

The interior features a new standard 12.3-inch infotainment screen, 18-inch wheels, Active Lane Managed, Rear Park Assisted, and Automated Emergency Braking.

There’s an optional 10.25-inch passenger display, McIntosh audio system, Nappa leather upholstery, dual-pane sunroof, and Night Vision system.
