I never back down from a vehicle-related challenge (as long as it’s safe and legal). So, I accepted the opportunity to take the 2025 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek for another spin. The first time I reviewed this SUV, it had about 500 miles on the odometer. This time it had over 10,000 miles.

2025 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek 10,0000 mile update

The first time I had the 2025 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek, I was worried about getting in trouble for putting too many miles on it. I took it from Asheville, NC, to Winnsboro, SC, and Rock Hill, SC.

I spent time in the dirt as well because I had to see how beefy the off-roading upgrades were. To be honest, at the time, I was worried about how well the Rogue would stand up to punishment.

I drove it pretty carefully as it only had about 500 miles on the odometer. But the second time around, it had over 10,000 miles. There was hardly a noticeable difference in its quality as automotive journalists broke it in.

We are notoriously rough on these vehicles, and it didn’t have scruffs or scrapes. The interior was still plush and in mint condition. I know that it was well cared for with regular maintenance but I’m not sure if any other drivers experienced any issues.

Also, getting back to the Rogue Rock Creek was like putting on a comfortable pair of jeans. It was welcoming, confident, and felt great.

I still felt like the tech was a little dated. The Nissan Kicks has a bigger infotainment screen. However, it has plenty of physical controls and isn’t confusing at all.

Despite having chunkier tires, the interior is still peacefully quiet. Plus, it provides a smooth ride. There is plenty of space in the back for kids and dogs.

The turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine is adequate with an acceleration speed of 0 to 60 mph. It gets an EPA-estimated 28 mpg in the city and up to 35 mpg on the highway. The estimate seems accurate.

However, I can’t help but wonder if a hybrid engine is a missing piece. It’s pretty well-rounded as a comfortable and capable SUV.

Dated tech and slightly lackluster power stand out as areas that could be improved. That being said, I wouldn’t turn a third week with this model down.
