What engines does the 2024 Tacoma have?
The official engines for the 2024 Toyota Tacoma haven’t been released, but we can at least expect the standard 2.7-liter four-cylinder unit with 159 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque to be dropped.
While the solid 3.5-liter V6 engine with 278 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque would be missed, its fate hangs in the balance. It could be updated with more power or dropped.
The 2024 Tacoma Hybrid could borrow from the Lexus RX Hybrid. It pairs a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor to generate 366 hp.
Also, Motor1 shared that the new base engine could be the turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder option from the Toyota Highlander with 265 hp.
