While Jeep already offers electrified models with the Grand Cherokee 4xe and Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrids, the automaker hasn’t yet released an all-electric model. However, this will soon charge, for Stellantis introduced the Jeep EV, the working name of Jeep’s first all-electric model.

Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 electrification initiative and other EV releases

This week, Stellantis unveiled its Dare Forward 2030 initiative. Much of the focus for the Dare Forward 2030 initiative is on the electrification of the Stellantis vehicles.

The biggest news coming out of Dare Forward 2030 is the Jeep EV. However, Stellantis also laid out plans for many new electric vehicles. After the Jeep EV, the next electric vehicle release from Stellantis will be the Ram ProMaster van. In 2024, Stellantis will release the Jeep Wrangler EV and the Ram 1500 EV pickup truck.

Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares claims that the Ram 1500 EV will beat all other electric trucks, such as the Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian R1T, Tesla Cybertruck, and Chevy Silverado EV. This includes beating these EV trucks for towing, payload, charging time, and driving range. That’s quite a lofty claim, so we’ll see if it holds true.
