The fact that the Blazer EV will not qualify for a federal electric tax incentive makes it even less appealing from an affordability standpoint. The Blazer EV is still within the same price range as many of its competitors, but rivals will benefit from a $7,500 tax credit.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is currently the best electric SUV of the year and the World Car of the Year. The 2022 Ioniq 5 starts at $39,950. After the EV tax incentive, its price is closer to $32,450.
